Those digibooks look sweet Wreck, where did you get them from?

I scored them from Pmartin, (member here, mostly hangs out in digibook forum) though they come from Spain. So can be obtained still on fnac.es

I got a great deal, that week I got them they had them in a buy 2 get 1 free. So I got all 3 for around 20 euros. It's insane how many pictures they each have lol. Looks like a total book and then your like "Oh wow a disc is inside" heh. Where as regular digibooks look like a combination. Love that they are blu-ray size and only have 2 very small dvd logos. Look great on the shelf.

ps. NICE SCORE DEEBEE! Gladiator Taiwan, now that's also the rarest slip cover ;)

Received Indiana Jones steelie from a trader in Florida. He said it was sealed but it was a used copy.:ohno: He shipped it in a brown envelope :( but it was wrapped in two layers of bubblewrap. You think he would have shipped it in a box since it was a pricey item. It did arrive mint though so I'm happy.

Thanks Wreck, they do look really nice. I love the artwork for The Dark Knight. I will have to try and get hold of them!

Well...did you think you got a fair price on this one?

If you overpaid for a sealed steelbook, but got an open one...well, I personally would be a bit upset about that - and then to ship it that way internationally...

Ask the seller for a discount, since they falsely advertised the listing of the product. I bought a FutureShop Inglourious Basterds copy off ebay as brand new, just to receive it open. I wrote the seller and demanded a discount, and got a decent one. If they are not willing to give you a discount, file a claim with paypal, that is if you paid with them.

This happened again to me recently when I bought the Poltergeist digibook from amazon.com, through a third party seller. It was listed as brand new and came opened. I got a discount on that too.

Yeah, I was upset when I saw the envelope it was mailed in. Customs or at least I'm assuming it was Customs, had ripped open the envelope right by the address label so that the bubble wrap was exposed. I'm fortunate it didn't arrive dented. I paid $100 for a sealed copy but it was opened. That's probably more than a fair price for an opened copy. What I found on ebay was more expensive. It's just that the seller who is a member on another forum has bought and sold steelbooks and should have known better. But still it arrived undamaged so I guess I shouldn't complain.

Starry, I think you are within bounds to at least write to the seller and remind them that they said it was sealed. You did not receive what you paid for, and in a sense the item was misrepresented, so you have a right to complain. Whether you got a good price or not-the item was still not described accurately, so perhaps you'd like to consider working out some concession with the seller, or at least try to use the feedback mechanisms fairly, as you see fit-for a future buyer, it *may* be something more than a difference between "sealed" and "unsealed". Good luck!

An open Indy ... I'd say atleast a $20 refund at the price you paid. But to each their own in regards to value.

Yeah, I don't want to try and make you feel bad starry, but I agree with Wreck - $100 for an open one, in my opinion, is a bit steep.

Last Blu-ray Steelbook for me was Transporter 3 German edition which arrived last week; sadly, I have a lot of stuff on pre-order which is a double whammy of dissapointment - firstly, the long, long wait for them and secondly having to cut back on spending on other stuff so I can save up to pay for them when they do eventually get released!

That Korean RE set is a definite 'must have' for me

Yep, the other week I had an ebay seller send me one just wrapped in brown paper - no bubble wrap even, just brown paper EEK! Amazingly it arrived undamaged but I was still a bit annoyed, as I had sent him a friendly email asking him to wrap it well as I'd had some bad experiences in the past.

Nice my last steelbook/metalcase
was the Target exclusive Iron Man 2 one.
Very nice looking although it is not a steelbook.

I just got back from a trip that took me through Germany, The Netherlands, and Belgium. Thankfully, I had some time to do some Steelbook hunting along the way ...

I also picked up a boxed set, a Metal Pack, and a couple of Slipcovers ...
