First of all, let me start by saying I'm a HUGE fan of this movie. It's my most favorite animated movie and I have been deadly waiting for a quality steel, and i was pretty excited to know HDZeta announced this title. But honesty, the art work kills it all, the front and back of the steel look too crowed with both Hiccup and Toothless front and back. And the lenticular slip is totally unrelated to the movie, I mean hiccup is the main character but where is Toothless? And the picture of Hiccup's half head doesn't make sense to me, especially what does it have to do with the lenticular effect? I would rather have the Lenti art work on the back of the steel and the back art be the Lenti. Then, I would buy it in a sec without thinking.
Secondly, the price is $60 + regional shipping cost = around $70 for just one steelbook with no embossing, boring Lenti and not that impressive of the extra. Even for Thor and Frozen Kimchi, it was only around or under $60.
$60 or $70 may not be much for a lot of collectors including me, as I said, I'd even spend $100 on this steel ONLY if it's worth it. But in this case, guys, the maximum I will pay or this is $50 total.
So I'll pass on this, and waiting for the UK version, it will not have all the extras but at least, the price is more reasonable and maybe we'll get a better art work!
Just my opinion, for all folks who love this version, good luck to y'all on the GB tomorrow! :)

Idk man. If this is your favorite Animated film any you've been waiting for a steel to be released, I think you should go for it. I agree the artwork isnt great but its not bad either. And I wouldnt rely on a Zavvi steel as it is a "possible" release and Dreamworks doesnt have a track record of releasing steels at all. And if they do its a toss up if it will be quality or not.

I think you are being over critical because its your fav film (Im the same way with Dredd. I love that movie but underwhelmed by the JP steel that everyone adores)

I say get one while you can. If you are willing to spend $50 whats 10 extra? Get it and if you are truly unsatisfied you wont have any problems off loading it to get your money back and probably a a few extra bucks.

We want use all classic pics for design, but Dreamworks give us many limited, like i said,if you make an exclusive steelbook, you will know its very hard, every design must be checked.......,i will post some unapproved design when the GB closed.
About the prices,i know 60USD and 55USD is not cheap, but please dont forget its only 1.5k copies in the world, not 2.5k or 3k,if HDzeta make more copies, maybe we can sell them as 14.99 or 19.99,but we cant.
About the frozen and the thor, its common steelbook in the world, not exclusive,so the production cost with big different......

No need to explain yourself buddy because you've already done so. We appreciate what HD Zeta has brought to the table and most of us understand that the artwork must be approved.

People will always complain about the price; as they do daily in the business I'm in, and I always like to remind my co-workers that people want a Ferrari, but expect to pay for a Toyota. There's always those who want higher quality items at the same price point they'd pay for an inferior product. ;)

True words. More and more people want to pay less money for more
quality. That doesn't work.:ugh:

Quick question will the final full lenticular slip contain any Chinese text (as seen in the OP)? I really enjoy slip covers with Asian titles! I wonder if members are leaning more towards the 1/4 slip or the full lenticular... questions questions ;)

I would prefer the 1/4-slip but I think I will go for the lenti.I think it's easier
to grab a copy at that GB. (after the Olaf disaster I have to save my nerves;))

@brokenaura so the lenticular will ship with a separate slip that contains the Chinese text? Sorry if this has been mentioned/ discussed, I was unable to find any concrete info pertaining this discrepancy. Thanks

im still a bit confused as well on the Full slip/lenti.

Is the the Lenticular a card separate of the full slip? Magnetic?

That I don't know. :( I'm assuming it'll go in front of the slip, lol. No idea.

Comon guys it's not that complicated:hilarious::hilarious:

I don have the HK Transformers version so excuse the ignorence lol:emb:. So theres a slot on the full slip for the lenti to go in or is it just loose at all times (no way for it to stay on slip)?

Edit: Just saw above post. Everything is clear now .....I think lol

No... Lol how is that held on? Magnet? I want it to be able to stay on...

I agree. I don't get it either, even with the pics. Is that lenti just a floating card? Non magnetic, nonsticky, just kinda like... a postcard? If so that is quite bizarre, and would only be held in place so long the whole thing remains sealed. Kinda strange if you ask me. Just being honest.

You have to use super glue and if that won't work then industrial staples are required. :p

I really hope nobody takes this seriously.
