There seems to be an error with your attached picture. What time did you click on the group buy link? If you tried accessing it before it went live, you would see an error message instead.

I was quite excited about this, but then I read this, posted barely four and a half hours before the GB opened:

We can avoid the chinese text on the lenti from this design,if you want stay on,you can use some glue to stick it by youself:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

The way I see it, it's HD Zeta sticking it to us...

I do hope it's just a misunderstanding, because seriously, we're expected to never open it, otherwise the lenticular comes off (hence the "joke" about the glue). If it's true, that's bullshit. We pay north of $75 (yeah, let's not forget the hub) for one steelbook, I don't think it's unimaginable to expect it to look good once we open it :(. Would it have been $90 if the lenticular was a magnet or if it actually was a lenticular slipcover (because from what I understand, that is not what we're being offered)?

About the prices,i know 60USD and 55USD is not cheap, but please dont forget its only 1.5k copies in the world, not 2.5k or 3k,if HDzeta make more copies, maybe we can sell them as 14.99 or 19.99,but we cant.

That big of a difference between 1.5k and 2.5k, uh? I hope Zavvi isn't reading this, they'd make us pay $60 for their 2k-print run with WEA :D - though Zavvi is the Devil incarnated (*fitting in*), and they don't have the immensely useful character cards, and they don't have a lenticular you don't know what to do with once the shrink wrap is off, and they probably don't have the ≈$30 gloss coat either.

I hope I'm completely wrong about that, but if the lenticular really is just a piece of cardboard under the shrink wrap, then I'm glad I held off trying to go on HDN from 1:55pm to 2:05pm.

This message came up about 5 times for me before I did a snipping tool screen capture. I was first able to get to this page a few minutes after it went live. Then several more times, every time same thing. But now when I click on the group buy link, I do not get this message. I can see the thread, but it is locked. Very strange.

HDN completely died here for a long few minutes. Really panicking for the 1/4 slip. To see 73 posts upon website coming back up what a shock.

DB if Alex opens up shop again for business will it be spur of the moment?

TIA

I've asked him to let me know if there are any remaining slots, after he has counted the lists, and we'll post in this thread. The threads were closed to give him a chance to get in touch so the list creation could start. In the meantime, you can still sign up if you have not, until he tells us all slots are taken. Thanks.

I'm quoting myself here: is no one else really bothered by that? Am I misunderstanding something?

Are we really being offered a lenticular on a piece of cardboard on top of the steelbook? A lenticular doesn't "stick" to the steelbook once the shrink wrap is off? It has to be a joke, I have to be misunderstanding, surely.

You do understand the lenticular is attached to a full slip cover that the steelbook slides in and out of, right?

And also, there are magnetic lenticulars that do "stick" to the steelbook.
