Several OK steelbooks out there for this film but I'd be hard pushed to select a favourite . . . maybe this will be the one.
Good thing about the selection is that they are all different enough for a completist to buy one of each style and not feel guilty . . .
Original film posters not great for the steelbook artwork (but great for a lenticular from one of the premium retailers) but having said that maybe one of these two could be OK for the new front . . .in the same colour scheme:-
EDIT 21/2: Ah so the blue one is confirmed for France - now all we need to know is:-
a) English or French title on the front ? I AM LEGEND or JE SUIS UNE LEGENDE ?
Maybe not grammatically correct but I'd like the French title to read JE SUIS LEGENDE or "I Am Legend" which doesn't seem to me to be the same as "I'm a legend" (LOL).
b) What's the back artwork to be to replace the fully printed back of the same steelbook from Canada?
Just as an aside: Some may remember the previous big screen incarnation of Richard Matheson's classic 1954 sci-fi novel from the '70's with Charlton Heston as THE OMEGA MAN but who remembers the marginally better THE LAST MAN ON EARTH from the 1960's with Vincent Price (which has not had a Blu-ray release in the U.K. yet).
Also maybe not common knowledge that the novel was the inspiration for George Romero's NIGHT OFTHE LIVING DEAD .(1968)
Regarding previous BD steelbooks for this film in other territories there's always these (not forgetting the DVD steelbooks):-

I'm definitely looking forward at seeing what they do with this. I was really hoping someone would do a premium packaging of this, hoping Zeta or someone picks it up.
awesome embossing, i got it on the weekend, and i all ready made it into a hybrid with my Canadian one since i love the back on that one, i never thought i would say i love lettering on the back of a steelbook lol
