Plain Archive is excited to announce the release of I Saw The Devil Steelbook. We've been asked by Blue Kino, another Korean Blu-ray company to design the Steelbook edition which will be PLAIN ARCHIVE's exclusive.
We were hoping to release the world's first Steelbook edition of I Saw The Devil, but Zavvi announced its own before we could. The news made us reconsider the project, but with director Kim Jee-woon's support, we couldn't drop it.
I Saw The Devil Steelbook will be released under the approval of director Kim, and we are working on the artwork as we speak.

Looking at the images, the PET slip appears to be a red-colored see-through slip, which only contains the movie title and PA logo. Similar to how Korea does clear slips for a number of other steelbooks.

So the "same images" you're seeing is the actual steelbook, which is the same steelbook for both versions.

But I don't chase after 1/4 slips so I can happily pass on it...

I will say this though, Plain Archive with these three versions for ISTD have taken collecting to a new level.
I love Blufans but this release from Plain!!!!!! .....:jawdrop:

Guys, I would like to point out something possibly worthy of interest: looks like Plain Archive isn't being plain with us .

Indeed, the steelbook seems to display "I Saw the Devil" at the top :

And somehow the PET full slip makes it disappear :

So, what's it going to be, PA?

Out of safety I might order the regular full slip. It will go well with my previous PA exclusives, and it's really classy too.
