Plain Archive is excited to announce the release of I Saw The Devil Steelbook. We've been asked by Blue Kino, another Korean Blu-ray company to design the Steelbook edition which will be PLAIN ARCHIVE's exclusive.
We were hoping to release the world's first Steelbook edition of I Saw The Devil, but Zavvi announced its own before we could. The news made us reconsider the project, but with director Kim Jee-woon's support, we couldn't drop it.
I Saw The Devil Steelbook will be released under the approval of director Kim, and we are working on the artwork as we speak.
Best Regards
PLAIN ARCHIVE

I was actually asking about the numbering of each steelbook and The Master. Or is it only for The Master which gets lowest number for lower order number.

from facebook:

For each of the three limited editions (PET full slip box, Paper slip box, PET 1/4 slip) of <I Saw The Devil>, the copies numbered 1~100 will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The rest will be dispatched at RANDOM.

This is due to the small number of staff available for shipping our products. Please understand that our shipment schedule would be delayed under a first come first served policy.

For the keep case limited edition of <The Master>, lower number will be allocated on a first come first served basis as before.

.I have know idea what this movie is all about other than that it is apparently quite high on the violence factor.

That's almost an understatement. The violence is insane, at times to a point where I'm sure it's that particular brand of Korean black humour at work. It's never gratuitous though, and beneath the violence is something unrelenting and profoundly sad. A lot like Se7en, but much less subdued.

This was really hard, as I am one of those who gets only 1 variant of the movie. All 3 are so beautifully designed with utmost attention to details. Narrowed down to Full slip from all 3 variants (I kind of liked to more than PET slip :naughty:), and was able to purchase a copy today morning.

I must say PA's mobile site is designed pretty decently. Order process was smooth.

Full Paper Slip and 1/4 slip are still in stock.
