Plain Archive is excited to announce the release of I Saw The Devil Steelbook. We've been asked by Blue Kino, another Korean Blu-ray company to design the Steelbook edition which will be PLAIN ARCHIVE's exclusive.
We were hoping to release the world's first Steelbook edition of I Saw The Devil, but Zavvi announced its own before we could. The news made us reconsider the project, but with director Kim Jee-woon's support, we couldn't drop it.
I Saw The Devil Steelbook will be released under the approval of director Kim, and we are working on the artwork as we speak.
Best Regards
PLAIN ARCHIVE

The last email I received for this thread was 6:34pm EST yesterday. It's a good thing I had written down what time it started or else I would've missed this. Same thing happened with the Memento KimchiDVD thread, but I missed that one because I stopped getting emails before any dates were announced. Today I finally started getting emails from the Memento thread again (weeks after it sold out). What is going on? I'm still "watching" these threads.

Maybe @apsmith21 can shed light on whether this has been happening to anyone else.

Yeah, it didn't give me the option to add to cart until 6:03, but other than that the order process was smooth.

It was the same for me. Not fair from Novamedia. Thus everybody who ordered the Tripack should recieve the signature card. Someone with a Facebook account should probably communicate this incident to Novamedia. I will do so by mail.

Anybody else surprised the Full Slip version is still in stock? It had less copies printed 500 Vs 800 for the PET Slip and still sitting there.

I actually prefer the look of the Full Slip so I went to order it first. Now I wish I had ordered a second PET slip since that seems to be more sought after.

Yep, thought the same. That IS surprising, especially as the paper one would be more consistent with the rest of the collections. Expected people to double dip on PET.

Gutted... Got up at 02:00AM. Clicked to order the triple pack, with the signature, and when I got thorough pay pal and went to click on the button that finalises the order on Plain Archives website and it said to go back to pay pal. After repeating this for what must be over 10 times (now 02:11), I decided that the only logical explanation was that I must of miscalculated what was in the bank.
So I decided to get the PET and 1/4 slip, paid the new postage and it went without fuss. Went to the bank today, got a statement, blah blah blah, cut a long story short, I was £0.27p short for the tripack and its postage. I put a bit of cash in the bank and will now get the full slip, the last I need.

So yeah, I'm gutted, no signature and now two times the new higher postage price.
Oh, and a nights worth or ruined sleep...

It's harsh for some of us who have to wake up at / stay up till some ungodly hours and compete against more awake ninjas :) (love that name). Each order is like a learning experience and hopefully next one will be UK friendlier.

At least you got the PET while the going was good.

Yes, I do suppose. That is the silver lining I'm looking at, but still, I'm more annoyed that I have to pay double postage. Even worse, the newly priced postage.

Oh...didn't think of that. Do you think that it's still worth a shot even though I've technically already bought them??

Nothing to lose. You've got a bit of time before the actual release date. They could always refund to your paypal account and they seem very responsive to individual emails. Good luck

Yes, I even asked them once to combine 2 orders if possible and I got the difference credited back on my PayPal account while I asked them just to leave it.

They said, no can do: It's policy.

Plain Archive are among the best.

Thanks for the idea. I'll give it a whirl in a sec and will keep you updated as to what they say.
P.S, How long does it take for them to answer back??

Depends on how many tickets they receive ;-)

I mostly got answers within the same day, but I guess they will have some more traffic after these pre orders so keep in mind:

1-3 days for an answer.

First of all, this is Plain Archive. Second, I don't think they intentionally did it this way (activating the triple-pack late). Third, the signature card was a gift that wasn't even revealed until shortly before the preorders started.
I'm in the same boat as you (ordered the triple pack, not interested in The Master keepcase), but I'm not very worried about getting the signature card. Some people are going to miss out. It's the nature of collecting. And Plain, so far, have been a reliable company. Juno and the crew really seem to have the collectors' best interest at heart.

I was already considering dropping a note on Facebook tonight to check in on the situation. Maybe they can drum up an extra 50 signatures. But I'm not going to stress about it.

I agree with you that Plain Archive overall did a fantastic job for us. But the signature card was surely to promote the sale of the triple and combo pack. In the end they are also a company that wants to earn money. But of course I will get over it, in the end these are only steelbooks. But if you get up at 3am only to be early enough to be one of the first 200 and then do not have the chance to order directly it is a bit dissappointing. That's all.
