If you’ve even been to CES the you probably know that setting up Sony’s booth must be a massive undertaking. The booth (and I use that term loosely, it’s probably about half an acre) is positioned in a sweet spot at the rear corner of one of the Las Vegas Convention Center’s massive halls. It holds all of Sony’s product offerings, from gaming to televisions to mobile. That’s a lot of stuff being showed off by a lot of people. It’s also where Sony hold’s their press conference every year, one of the events that marks the start of the show.

Truth be told, the booth doesn’t change too much from one year to the next. Of course the products change, but those aren’t set up in the images above. What we do get to see in the images (that happened to land in my inbox this morning) is how the booth is set up and some of the structures that need to be put into place before tens of thousands of people stream into the area.

The spot is unrecognizable from what it will look like in just five days. You can see the difference in the two images above–the giant display (probably not an OLED) being lifted and then it in place, looking just like it will when Sir Howard Stringer is standing below it at 4:30PM on January 7th.
