Title: Infinity Pool

Genre: Science Fiction, Thriller

Director: Brandon Cronenberg

Cast: Alexander Skarsgård

Plot: James and Em are young, rich, in love, and on vacation. Their all-inclusive resort boasts island tours and gleaming beaches. But outside of the hotel gates waits something much more dangerous and seductive, beyond the edge of paradise.
Looks like Cronenberg's son is making better movies, than his father already, after disappointing Crimes of the Future.
The first half had me excited, thinking it's the best film of the year that will be hard to beat. But it then it deteriorated quickly, because the writer-director didn't know what to do with the characters, and the great idea. Could've used more world building, maybe a futuristic or alternative reality setting to not be so ridiculous. Plus there's no build up to anything, no apogee, even though that one fight must've been intended as one.
Either way feels unfinished and disappointing, just like his father's Crimes of the Future.
