1. [ME#23] Inglourious Basterds
Finally, we are approved with the Inglourious Basterds Manta Lab Exclusive Steelbook. We've been working on this release since last September (not 2018) and took us 1 year to finally get the rights, design and final approval for this movie. It is one of our favorite movies of all time from Tarantino so we hope we've done a good job with the package. We had a plan to start the pre-order for this movie in late October but due to our recent late production and delay with the previous releases, we have decided to put on a hold until we finish all shipping up to The Shape of Water. Thank you very much for your interest in advance and we will release the information soon. OOoooooohh, That's a BINGO!

You know the singles dont start from 001/XXXX right? So if you could do your math from 501 (since 1~500 of each are exclusive to box sets) onwards for single editions you can figure out the print run.

No I didn't know that. So then the wording in the OP is incorrect then. It says "Double Lenti limited to 1000 numbered copies."

That would indicate that there are 1000 Double Lenti Slips which would mean that there are 1000 steelbooks in those slips
It should say Double Lenti limited to 500 numbered copies.

Just sayin'

there are still 1000 DLs, 500 in the 1click and 500 DL single copies

My understanding is that a Double Lenti is a slip, not a steelbook. It says that there are 1000 numbered Double Lenti copies.
I also believe that the slips are numbered not the steelbooks. It's the same steelbook in all of the slips plus 3 of the same steelbook in a One Click.

What else you got? lol.

so obvious then dl is in the oc and sold seperately and they would all be numbered. yes they are slips but the maths still adds up as has been said.

and tbh it looks you have set your view in stone unless your saying everyone else is wrong including aniv who runs the gb here.

It’s quite easy though. There are 1000 individually numbered DL slips, but 500 of them are exclusive to the boxset, and the 500 remaining are sold individually. Total printrun for the steelbook is 3000 total, but there are only 2000 single items for sale (500 of each slip and the OC).

I apologize, and thought the same thing, alot of big name premium retailers are the opposite: Filmarena, Blufans, Novamedia. When they say 500 One Cicks, plus 1,000 DL, 1,000 SL, and 1,000 FS that would mean 4,500 total copies. I knew the right print runs on a number of earlier Manta Exclusives but was dead wrong on the last probably 8-10 releases, I think Wonder Woman probably was the last one. Has it always been this way Aniv?

Stygian and myself can't be the only two Ninja's who missed that a Manta Exclusive One Click of 500 only meant 500 total steelnooks and not 1,500. Most of premium retailers that I can think of 500 One Clicks in this case would mean 1,500 steelbooks.

I don't know. If there are 1000 DL copies, 1000 SL copies and 1000 FS copies that equals 3000 right there.

Plus 500 OC's? That would be another 1500 steelbooks. So that's 4500 steelbooks. Unless the wording in the OP is incorrect.

Yes that does seem like a lot. Aren't Blufans Marvel premium editions only 4000 at most?
All copies are numbered. In this case each Slip from 1 to 1000.

1000 DL
1000 SL
1000 FS
= 3000 Slips / Steelbooks

to make a OC they need 1 copy of each Slip that's why No. 1 to 500 are in OCs and No. 501 to 1000 are sold individally.

As previously stated from others that makes
500 OCs (each contains 3 Steelbooks)
500 DL (individually sold, each contains 1 Steelbook)
500 SL (individually sold, each contains 1 Steelbook))
500 FS (individually sold, each contains 1 Steelbook))
= 2000 items BUT STILL 3000 Steelbooks.

Printrun is 3000 of the Steelbook and OP is correct

It does mean 1500 steelbooks!! 500x3=1500. There's also 500 of each being sold individually, not in the OC, numbered 500 through 1000. That's another 500x3=1500.
1500+1500=3000.

And yeah, I agree with your message that sparked all this, it would have been better at 1500 total :giggle:

Now after all of that, I wish it was actually the steelbooks that get numbered instead of the slips. Or in some cases, such as Blufans, it's a card that is numbered, not even the slip.

I would like the number to be on the spine of a steelbook. Or inside the steelbook. But since it isn't the retailers that make the steelbooks that means Scanavo would have to do the numbering. Also I can see a problem with steelbooks having to be replaced due to damages. It's easier to replace an unnumbered steelbook.

Does anyone know when GB shipping invoices are due to arrive?
It originally states GB closes on November 26th but although it shows all editions are out of stock, it doesn’t show as ‘closed’.
Thanks
