Depends where ur based? What's the p+p from Amazon.de again? I'm UK based so I think that makes it almost the same price so I'd rather have the UK version...English writing and titles on the disc/navigation screens...

The steelbook itself is only 15€, delivery only a few euros more.
I've ordered the German release.

In a way we are reaping what we sewed. Obviously Zavvi saw that we were willing to shell out £26.99 - £27.99 for Jack Reacher, Hantsel & Gretel & G.I.Joe 2 from ES and have thought, **** we can make some money here. I knew it would come back and bite us in the arse. The price won't go Down, if anything it may rise in a few days.

I agree with you entirely, it's a disgrace that Zavvi are charging this price, it is pure greed, what they seem to forget is the releases from ES were 500 to 2000 and the less a run is, the more expensive it is and I get that. As a collector of anything, you don't mind paying for something that is a bit rarer, but I doubt very much that Iron Man is this kind of run, probably at least 5 times bigger, so to me they are getting very greedy. Don't get me wrong, I think it is great what Zavvi are doing, but come on enough is enough, they could quite easily sell this at £15 and make a bloody fortune on it. Sorry rant over!!!

What "good work" are you referring to?
Every country seems to be getting this and they cannot confirm what's inside it yet.

Ok people what I my missing here, I really don't understand all this buzzing around this release, I was trying to find pros and cons to buy this my self but in my opinion they are to many cons here, let's see..

Pros.
1. It's Iron Man
2. Embossed arc on chest plate
3. Possibly this release has a limited print run.

Cons.
1. Way to expensive (more expensive then Disney releases)
2. No 3D
3. Possibly this has a huge print run.
3. Not original art-work
4. Only 1 disc
5. Nobody knows nothing about internal and back art-work.
6. Way to expensive (yeap I put this twice)

So can somebody explain it to me why should I buy this?

I received an IM from Naughtius Maximus, a teaser post from zavvi at twitter. So I pre-ordered a couple. I got hook, line, and sinker.

The story of the thread so far then: moan about the price, moan about the artwork, moan about the lack of features, moan about the print run (which we are still only speculating). Then at the end of it all, order it anyway. Not just one but multiple copies. Zavvi must think we are a bunch of mugs and the truth is most of us are. I have ordered one copy but I may cancel down the road if it turns out Zavvi have the correct artwork listed and nothing exclusive. I can deal with the pricing on Disney classics, those may be the only Steelbooks those titles ever get. The Marvel films are going to be milked for every penny though, so even if by some miracle every single version of this sells out, I'm sure anyone who misses out will have multiple chances in the future when more Avengers films are released.

i pass, would get it with unique art but that way it's too expensive and also lack of content (1disc). there will be better releases of IM3.

Don't mind paying that price and don't care about the 3D gimmick either but I do think the price will come down with all the moaning you lot are doing so that's a bonus if it does. Carry on, it's entertaining.

I think they paid quite a bit of money to get the exclusive UK rights to the steelbook and have passed the price onto us. I also think it's laughable that they claim to have it with a £4 saving.
