Listen bud. If IM's arch enemy the Mandarin can be a white guy, then Iron Man can be green. I even have a plausible reason why it should be green. Stark woke up one day and realized that red is a color for sissies and clowns. Green is a color worn by warriors and soldiers, therefore, he doesn't wanna be a sissy no more, and paints his armor green. Like it shoulda been in the first place.
