Yes I agree. I think we need to keep it:

Full Lenticular
1/4 Slip

Having anything more is just getting outta control IMO.

Yes, my preference as well. Full lenticular with awesome art then 1/4 slip that complements the Steelbook's awesome art too. I do not open my Steelbooks so 1/4 slips are perfect for me to display. :oohyeah:

I even ordered the Amelie 1/4 slip. :D

I always open mine and throw all the innards awayt like gutting a fish. I just keep the steel husks... ;)

In reality I'm 50/50, some I leave sealed for posterity and others I open and watch as normal...

Yep - 99% of all my Steelbooks are sealed
In fact I wouldn't even know whether there is any disks inside let alone extras !!!

Hah, if you rotate your Steelbook and put your ears next to it you can hear the disc rotating inside most of the time. ;)
The only one I truly hate myself for opening is Iron Man Future Shop.
My collection is incomplete because of that one action. :emb:

I reckon out of the entire print run around 95% of them will never be opened. Which is kinda silly.

I never have or will buy a Steelbook to keep sealed
I always buy a Steelbook for the Film itself and extras and of course the Artwork

I watch the Film and Extras always
I keep my Steelbooks protected though using polybags

Film and extras content is always the most important thing to me and if a amaray Blu-ray release or box set has better extras or picture quality I will buy that instead but I will always go for a steelbook version over an amaray if content is the same

I double dip sometimes if I like the Steelbook artwork but again I always open to enjoy all of the steelbook

Lot of steelbooks has great inside Artwork but keeping it sealed and never opening means it don't have any inside artwork or even any good back artwork as it will be covered by a jcard

Each collector collects for their own reasons of course and how they spend their money is their right and that includes keeping there steelbooks sealed if they want to but for me I don't get why someone does this unless its to trade or sell

But if you have 100 or 200 or 700 steelbooks all sealed never opened or unwrapped and not to trade or sell ????? I don't get it

Exactly my thoughts. For me, it is all about the movie. I would never buy a steelbook of a film I don't like or keep a steelbook sealed.

But then, this is the collecting business and collecting is always crazy :). And, this is Iron Man...

Think of Stamp Collecting, who puts their collections on letters to post them?

That's different as in majority of cases Stamps rare are worth lot of money

Steelbooks are not in reality some are for a period of time but long term they end up worth noting

If you are collecting to make an investment steelbooks are not a good return long term as most end up worthless in time

I have a lot of Films in my collection I buy to watch the films

I most likely will be buying Iron Man Steelbook depending on the price but I will be opening to enjoy all of the Steelbook

Any chance of information regarding server capability? Is it an issue that kimchidvd is adressing or does it matter if the items sells out anyway?

stamps are little pieces of art but they don't have a front, a back or an inside with possible multiple artworks and solutions to enjoy…

Personally i open all of them because i ALWAYS watch the movies inside, i like to see the right light reflections on the design without any shrinkwrap and i love the feeling of metal and finishes on the hands.
I don't want to sound weird :D but sometimes i simply rub my hands on some matte or embossed one and i feel good :D

...if red really is your thing!

it's really nice!
But i don't like that same typeface you're using in all your last mockups, i think a sans serif font would be much more powerful and clean

if i was tony, i wouldn't waste my money to get a release to sell out in five minutes rather than forty five minutes. 99.9% of the time the server is adequate.

every saturday morning air jordan releases crash nike's, eastbay's, and finishline's websites for hours. the release sells out in a minute or two, but it can take up to hours to check out. people anxious and complaining here have no idea what a real high demand release is.

Just because of I have an idea of what a high demand release is, I´d like to know if its an issue or not for Kimchidvd, but as you stated I also guess its a non-issue for Kimchidvd because the items will be sold anyway.
