I agree there is no perfect solution. The only fair way is ordering direct from Kimchi. Will the website crash YES But this will be experienced by all. Having participated on GBs here, they are brutal as well. The entire allotment may well be gone in less than a minute. You quite honestly stand a better chance ordering directly IMO

While I understand the sentiments of those wanting a GB, it only serves to deny many a chance to order directly from a vendor that ships to most countries. Also IMO, a GB is meant to serve those who are unable to get an item due to shipping restrictions. That's not the case here

It is a cruel reality but has been an essential part of collecting.

disagree. ready and dedicated collectors will miss out simply because of "luck of the draw" whether their connection gets through. bad servers should not dictate who misses out and who gets like lottery style. i have made the "single click confirm order" suggestion several times, with no proper and valid rebuttal to this idea.

I can understand the hassle of Choi running a group buy so the only thing I could think of is to limit it to 1 copy per Kimchi account. That way everyone has a good chance of getting one.

What do you guys think?

Why everyone of freaking out about a release that we haven't even seen the artwork for? For all we know the FS and Play versions could be leaps and bounds better than this one. Isn't the rarity and chance of missing out part of the thrill of collecting steelbooks

There are only so many copies to go around. Its inevitable that some will miss out. A finality that cannot be avoided or remedied with a GB. All sales from a merchant in effect are lottery style. The only scenario I can come up with is black Friday deals here in the US. Try buying a highly sought after item online from amazon. Usually sold out by the time you click add to cart. We all can't be winners.

GB won't remedy the problem but it will help it for sure.

i understand this. im simply talking about the korea servers playing an unfair role. i was ready for kimchi frozen 15 min early. have high speed cable internet, and it was very frustrating and i couldnt buy it. only got it from the GB .

There was a mention that the servers would be upgraded before the "RUSH" pre-order.Is that movie going to be ready for ordering before Iron Man??? What's the time table between the 2 movies?
The mention of the premium membership has disappeared as well...That would've have been an awesome alternative.

The Frozen direct sale was always going to be a tough one but server was not the issue for me in that case. Total print run was 1000 copies. 400 copies were reserved for the GB. Off course demand way outstripped the available 600 sold directly. This IMO made the situation worse. That said, I put my 2 cents out there. Some may agree and others may not. Let's see how this all plays out with improvements being made to the server.

Agree only partially.

I was only able to get my Frozen copies through GB, while I had no chance on kimchidvd.com.

Sold out by the time clicking add to card is caused by high demand. Not even able to click add to card is caused by high demand AND bad sever.

I know what you're saying but I think the fact that some were taken off sale by Kimchi for the GB meant that there were less on their website in the first place. This added to their servers would have meant many unhappy people. Also this is double the print run of Frozen and Thor which means it should potentially stick around for a bit longer. Order limits of 2 per lenti and 1 per 1/4 would help.

GB or no GB I'll take my chances. I've missed out on steels before. Some you win, some you lose.
