I think we should lock the thread and allow only the mods and Choi to open it again with actual updates on this steelbook when there will be information to share :).

We've had 91 pages now, and all we know about it since February 18 is that it's a 2.5K print run with WWE released in July (July, sure :D). It's a bit frustrating to open this thread only to find people saying they're excited, posting mockups (while they might look great, it's not like Paramount is going to pick them), saying they love Iron Man, posting gifs/memes or asking for updates.

I'm not picking on anyone in particular, I just think we should avoid getting anyone's hopes up when they click on this thread when in fact there is just no news about this steelbook at the moment.

It's a discussion forum not news forum, that's what the OP on page 1 of each thread is for. I'm sure Choi will update the OP when news comes.

I think Bunk points are quite valid as I too feel the same way. It is now 3 months since the thread was created. There have been many threads locked until further info was available then unlocked when there was solid info. I'm sure many members come here for the news and discussions.

I personally opt out of the email notifications, but I'm sure it can get quite aggravating. But does it not tell you who has posted in that notification? So if it isn't one of the people who would be posting an important update, you can just delete it and go about your day?

With it being Iron Man, there's going to be quite a bit of chat going on, even 3 months down the road. So would it be right to discourage those who haven't seen it or know about it from posting (eg- new members & people living under rocks)?

In no way am I trying to be argumentative, just trying to understand about the notifications and maybe shine some light on a different perspective.

And if the notifications do NOT state who posted, then I can certainly understand the want for a lock. I don't agree, but I certainly understand....

I agree. I don't sign up for notifications ever. The point Bunk made was that there is now 95 pages & 3 months of no concrete info. Don't get me wrong, this thread should stand. I just feel other threads have been locked due to lack of info and then opened back up when there was an update. This has occurred many times during my time here on the forum and others for the fact that the movie had just been released in theatres

Say for example. Zavvi Disney Collection #20 thread has been up for almost 4 months now without even a title. #18 and #19 were open for 3 months without any solid info other than ??????

I can definitely understand that! I guess I was thinking about it in a completely different way.

I know I wasnt very informative, but I dont feel its my spot to announce anything on this. Presumably Choi will be doing such so that's why I didnt even mention a pose or anything.

I understand, buddy. Was just messing with you a bit. I guess I was hoping to hear, "it looks GREAT!"...Just an opinion of some sort. Not necessarily any hard info. Which would be absolutely pointless seeing as it would tell us nothing :hilarious:

92 pages for any steelbook is pretty rare. 92 pages before release date is super rare. 92 pages before preorder is ridiculous. but no!!

92 pages before artwork is revealed!! thats gotta be some kind of record :)

this thread has only just begun!
