Ah right. Ok, thanks, I'll contact them and see if they can change it.
Royal Mail are a right pain in the ass about it too, because not only do they charge the VAT, they charge you an extra £8 "handling fee" on top of it!
KimchiDVD should really think about expanding their Business Partners and allocate # items for GBs...Novamedia does this.
That kind of makes sense when there are large quantities available (1000+), but not for when there are only 350, IMO.
When quantities are that small it should be every man for himself, not "we've already given away half our stock for group buys".

I'm not even sure what shipping method I a paid for; it doesn't say on my order receipt.

I'm guessing it was EMS because I didn't select any.

I too left the customs box as $25. I don't think the UK charges import tax for that amount.

I've emailed them, I was too paranoid of this selling out and thus didn't change it.

So I said this eailer but with all the crazy, I'll try again, so I got the 21$ shipping with tracking and replacement if lost.

Is this worth it? Should I email asking to change to the cheaper one? Or just let it go?
It's already worth $200 on eBay...Call it an Investment and let it go! I did the same thing...
At least we know we have SOLID tracking, and it's not getting lost!!!;)

That 350 is 700 in total or more and a small qty has already been offered via a closed group GB...

I'm worried about two things:

1. K-packet - is this an adequate shipping method for protecting the steelbook? I'd be devastated if it arrived damaged.
2. I was going so fast that I didn't change the invoice designation. I just left it at "Original invoice". Will that matter?

I was able to order 1/2 of each!!!

Naw. That's fine. My Kimchi stuff that has come k-packet has been fine. Original Invoice is the setting I always use, as customs here in the U.S. aren't the same as U.K. etc.

Well, I snagged a pre-order of the 1/4 slip off of eBay for roughly $120. Kind of embarrassed that I paid that much, but all the other ones were around $200, and ifit went any higher than what I paid, I would have had to let go. Seeing as how this SteelBook is my favorite design for this movie, I went ahead and splurged. :S

1. I've never had a problem with K Packet. It's cheaper but slower than EMS. Quality seems to be the same in my experience.
2. I think the designation should be fine if you're in the US. Someone may have more info.

Man, I have the lenti, 1/4 coming. As well as Frozen BF, Edge of Tomorrow Japan, (possibly) both GotG Nova, Iron Man BF and Cap 2 BF pending. My wife is going to kill me :p

K-Packet is well wrapped and boxed, just a slower delivery method without full tracking/insurance.
As you are in the US, it won't matter as your tax threshold is high enough that it won't breach it ;)

Either a) the price on eBay will chill out after release. Or b) the few who jump on them now will be happy campers.

Maybe if there was a larger print run then there wouldn't be such scalpers? Just saying.
It is because of the limited availability of these steels that is the root of this.
If this title had say, 10,000 copies, it would sell out eventually. Everybody that wanted one would probably get one.
As a collector, i dont really care how many copies have been manufactured.
Eventually, the collectability of steels will wane. It doesn't matter to me, I just buy the films i like to watch more than once. I dont buy these just to make money!

Yeah, but of that 700, at least for the moment only 350 were available to international customers.

If all 700 were put up for grabs at the same time (as in nothing held back just for Koreans), it'd be a different story and I'd be okay with a small amount being provided to GB/partners or whatever.
