Not having an Iron Man steelbook I fancied the Kimchidvd version. I managed to put one in my cart, but couldn't access the cart for a time, and when I could of course it was sold out. THAT annoyed me. I empathise with the others that missed out. Iron Man didn't sell out in less than ten minutes because of collectors. Wait till it's released and see how many turn up on ebay. Collectors??? Scalpers...

I hate scalpers....I own over 150 steelbooks and scalpers just make my blood boil....

I didn't get it either. Crashed and left the item in my cart. It is what it is. This company doesn't understand that with a demand for certain SB they should test run the server for high volume.

But I guess it's just talking to a dead horse.

Sad to see my Ninjas missed out on this! :( Sorry Amigos

That's nice of you to say buddy  I am seriously ok about it now. It was more in the way of how it happened that annoyed me.

People that say " stop whining" "I don't understand the problem" and " I got x amount of copies" are the ones that need to look at themselves a little.

This is a hobby most of us love. Being disappointed is a natural emotion. Being sympathetic costs nothing :) Its funny how the Nova Drive scenario had all the "haters" out in full force, but you cant say a bad word about Kimchi ;)

Congrats to all those ninjas that secured their copies

Congrats to those that got their copies :)
This was a very tough one. At one point, i had the 1/4 slip and 2 lenticular's in my cart but that payment system on Kimchi site needs to be removed :@ you can get through Passport control the airport faster than paying on their site :@
Even giving 5 minuets to pay once an item is in cart is enough.

Ah well just another visit to eBay again

I completely agree buddy, I'm not trying to rub salt in the wound so to speak but I'm genuinely sorry for all that didn't get a copy. You never know, someone might not understand the significance of this release and sell it cheap. Worth a shot bud.

I completely agree. The way we happened to miss out was the frustrating part. Sure, we will get over it, because there are so many other great releases to own. But wait, this is Iron Man....

Being unable to order for hours due to server issues is a little different than one that had server issues for a few minutes though.
If KimchiDVD's server had simply gone down for hours, you could have wasted all that time and still not ended up with a copy - at least with this you knew you didn't get one in a matter of minutes instead.

I genuinely do feel sorry for those that missed out on this though and I'm sorry you didn't get a copy, it annoys me that people like you loose out to scalpers.

Unfortunately securing a copy of a popular release is becoming more and more based on luck it seems.

So basically it more than likely did take about as long as I predicted if you minus out the temp shutdown time. Its too bad that the other Kimchi Exclusives dont get more people interested. I wish people would buy them as we need these good movies to continue to do well.
It makes no sense to collect the entire Kimchidvd series if you miss out on some, although you are in time to order and then have to pay more than 100 USD for a single steelbook to complete the collection.

A lot of us collectors do just that though. Its the thrill of the hunt for stuff that is OOP and hard to find. Not everyone does this, but a lot do.

I know exactly what you mean mate....Dallas Buyers Club is a stunning film and it's still available to buy. It's a shame Ninjas, a real shame.

Well, that's the next best thing to me getting one myself Amigo! -

I am seriously cool with just the Blu Fans release. But the Kimchi servers are a joke! and that's what got my goat  (I BLAME DAVE) ;)
@PKAVFC It was a HUGE pain in the fu**ing ARSE trying to submit my order! The webpage kept on freezing and I had to log in 3 different times, and when I finally was able to view the Iron Man listing, I kept on getting a "Add Cart Failed" :banghead: But after 5 attempts... I got it! :woot: That's the last time I go in late to work for a Steelbook, next time I'm just taking the DAMN day off! :naughty:
Where is the Popcorn Emoji:D

<----- Take your pick! ;)

Pleased for you man. :D Yeah, me to, got a lenti. Was wierd tho. I put in for two and only checked out one.
Went back for round two, just got into my account, and boom, sold out. But i should complain. We're the
lucky ones. Gonna be a beauty i reckon;) Sorry for those Ninja's that didn't make it this time round.
I got screwed going for the bloody Nova 'Drive' exclusive.
@Rowan Thanks buddy! I agree, we're the lucky ones! :emb: :p

I don't want to sound like I'm bitter on this, as I am really not. Damn, life is too short :) but what I will say before I crawl back into my cave is that waiting 3 hours is a waste of time, but it was like that for everyone on that day.

Today it was add to cart, add shipping, confirm address.. pay.... blank screen. Error message.... and the item was then sold out. This was happening to a select few people at a time.

It reminded me of a Bouncer/doorman mentality at a club "let 4 in and keep 1 out" :hilarious:

Kimchi - Diving into a jar full of T!tties and coming out sucking your thumb ;)

Go to the trade threads and make a trade for it. Expect to trade something that is in high demand and rare for it. That is the fairest way to get one if you missed out. That is still the best thing about this site to this date IMO. The trade threads have many people willing to trade just about anything to get what they want.

Hang in there people. Eventually you will be able to get what you want, but your going to have to trade something of like value to get it. That's just the way it goes.

i suppose its swings and roundabouts , i managed to get the x-men lenti from kimchi and drive nova which i know a lot of ninjas wanted but didnt get , at the end of the day i would pick drive nova over this iron man everytime

I went back and forth this weekend on whether or not I wanted to attempt to get the IM Kimchi and ended up deciding to pass and let someone else go for it. Maybe I'm still mentally exhausted from the Nova experience last week :hurting:. Really happy for those of you that succeeded, it's a great feeling . Those who missed out, onward and upward, you'll have your day on another release.
