People (and I can only speak for myself) aren't angry that they cocked it up, more that it's a sort after and exclusive item AND limited so they feel that Play should take more care. It's not about the money, no-one would return their's over this, i'm sure Imagine though, you pre-ordered a new car, then a few days before it came through they said they've sprayed the interior bright pink! And there were no more left.

Hey guys, if it's OK that I comment with some insight on the situation - play sent along the designs with the correct artwork.

Where it got messed up was either Paramount or Steelbook themselves, but play themselves didn't see the mistake until the steels were already printed.

So our options were to take them as is, or wait for a number of months (maybe December) for the steels to be reprinted and the mistake to be (hopefully) corrected.

I for one can't say enough good things about what a wonderful job play.com does for steelbook collectors - keeping print runs limited, using bomb proof packaging, giving us a chance here at HDN to vote on our choice of inside art (with Terminator), etc etc

Just saying.

i got an email telling me about the inside artwork. it is still going to be Iron Man.

did the rest of you get an email with something different? like Thor inside artwork or something?

what is wrong with having iron man for the inside artwork of an iron man steelbook?

May not be noticable but they're actually in different suits, moreover it just shows a complete lack of interest:

Indeed Play have blamed the studio, apsmith i'm not sure why you think i'm blaming Play, obviously they don't make steelbooks! Read more carefully! I nominate you to oversee and supervise whoever messed up because we need someone who cares about steelbooks (and doesn't make mistakes ) somewhere in the process! Thanks for the ?insight.

Its not that bad most collectors are happy that play released an Ironman Sb to be honest. I know I am!

So the Interior Artwork changed is a bit of an Issue but not major... It would have been nice to have the correct movie artwork in the correct steelbook.

I say play should just send them back to paramount and we wait till december

That's wrong.

You're showing the Mark 3 and the Mark VI.

The suits pictured are

Mark 3 - should be Iron Man 1
Mark 4 - should be Iron Man 2.

They are much closer than the 3 and 6 - since the 6 has an obvious triangle shape where the arc reactor is.

Here's what the 3 & 4 look like. They are in the background of this picture from the new suit that will be used in Iron Man 3.

It's sloppy, maybe we will get a discount It's seems there is no quality control anywhere now.

During the opening game of this years olympics N.Korea were due to play & they showed a S.Korea flag

yeah..this should be okey and they can just deliver in the next few weeks...most people complain about no artwork inside...so this should't be a problem...NOW..if you happen to open it and a picture of The Hulk was inside...then that's the time you start throwing tantrums! ;-)
