Hi everybody,

I am having some issues playing a Blu-ray disc of "Take Shelter" that's says Region ABC on the case and on the disc.

When I play it, it says this:

Please share your experiences. Have you have any issues with a disc like this?

Any help is also appreciated! Thanks.

Do have one of those rare Region Q players?!:p
Wow. Never heard of that happening.
Maybe @Wreck or @digitalbabe might have some insight.
All I can figure is that it is probably not your player and the disc itself was authored incorrectly.
Maybe a member who has the same disc can do a check.
Is that a german version? And your player is Region A?

Yes, this is the German blu-ray, and I played it on my Region A player
The Amazon seller that I purchased it from just said "The reason is, that you collect a Format PAL BLURAY, which is not playable on your player." and they refunded me lol.

I am just assuming at this point that it is a Region B disc, with A,B,C printed on the artwork.

That could be the case. (Although BR.COM lists it as region free).
It has nothing to do with PAL format, though.
NTSC and PAL were only a concern with DVDs. Blu rays only concern themselves with Region codes.
(And 4K Blu rays have no region coding).
Maybe it was just a bad disc. (I assume you have never had any issues with Region free discs from other countries on your player?)
I do recommed investing in a region free player to avoid all that anyway!
You can get one for as little as $100 at 220 Electronics.com:thumbs:

Pretty sure like you said it's a Region B disc that has been labelled incorrectly.
