Oh cool, an as**hole who decided to go to a personal attack instead of being mature about it.

That's not negavitiy man, it's just how it is. If something is bad, and people can admit it's bad only to then say they are "going to buy it anyway" then why buy it? All it does is feed this cycle.

I feel like you going off like that, being immature and throwing a massive tantrum means I struck a nerve and you actually do this yourself.

Being a fan of something does not mean become a mindless drone and eat up whatever they give you. We are allowed opinions and for how expensive things have gotten we are allowed to ask for better.

Bro, this wasn't in response to you necessarily, but the other poster you were responding too, so saying I'm going on a personal attack and throwing a massive tantrum is taking a bit of a giant leap.

Read the post again and imagine I've got a cheery smile on my face and not an nasty angry smirk like you think I had when I wrote it. Emotional context of written content is almost always difficult to interpret correctly. Perhaps I should have used more emojis next time. That's what they're for I guess. I thought the use of a South Park gif would be direction enough.
See. Happy.

It's just a hobby man. Y'all need to chill out, if not taking stuff overly seriously is being an ass hole, then fair enough, I'm an ass hole. At least I'm a happy and content mother *******.

(Just to add. My collection is so small compared to most of you guys, it's barely over 100. I've only been collecting since 2022, so maybe I haven't had time to get jaded yet. Its way too expensive to be mindlessly buying everything drone style all the time .)

DM me buddy. We can cheer each other up there. What a grump

Anyway. Back on topic like we said.

Any image hints at the artwork here yet?

I must say, I'd happily grab the Dalton films. Super underrated and ones that I managed to see at the cinema back in the day. That late 80s Aston Martin was a beauty too.
Always heard it drove like crap. Looked gorgeous though.

Yeah I grew up on the Brosnan movies at the cinema. I think I caught a Dalton on ITV growing up and remember thinking was good. All they need to do with the art is include; the women, the cars, Bond & the villian. You literally cannot fail if you do that.

I'd be more than happy with just the original poster art for all of them, but if they were desperate for something completely new, I think it would be interesting to see art in the classic 60s style re-imagined, but maybe done for all the James Bonds.

Ha. No thanks.

You go off on one, I respond, say you wern't talking about me despite quoting me to reply then calls me like I'm the problem. Pot calling kettle.

I'm done. I've said my bit. I'm not responding to you. It's finished. If you wanna DM fine but you are the issue here not me, I never started this you did with your over the top rant.

Jesus.

Good day.

If you don't enjoy this hobby like others do and pass on positivity, then literally **** off. That's my opinion.

Films are great. I'm buying for the UHD. If the steelbook is awesome, then that's a win. I'd rather a pig ugly steelbook than a waste of plastic to be honest, maybe that's just me.

Spread that nego bullshit elsewhere, is what I say. The world is hard enough as it is.

Let's show some insane love for the hobby instead.

There is still some great artwork being used, but it does seem to be the exception, not the rule.

If you'd rather some 'pig-ugly' steelbook over a plastic amaray, that's fine. Personally I'd rather a gorgeous steelbook over an amaray. I imagine you would too.

It shouldn't be a choice between great amaray and ugly steelbook. It should be a choice between cheap but great amaray, and expensive, but also great steelbook.

I blame the studios for making poor decisions, and, to a degree, people who buy substandard steelbooks. However, if you want a steelbook of a certain movie, but that steelbook is poor, what choice do you have?

I can't say that artwork is doing anything for me.

At least with the opening credits waves, you could see what they were going for. There was a relevance and style to them, even if you didn't like them.

I appreciate these are designed to show off Sean Connery, but surely there were better images that could have been used. Goldfinger is the only one I think is passable. You Only Live Twice being the worst.

As someone who is now retired from the Graphic Design business, all I can say is "Lazy, directionless, sloppy artwork" that would insult the intelligence of any good designer......

Yeah, no thanks. Stills as the back art….maybe. But stills as front art….bore off! It’d literally take the same amount of effort to just put the original posters on there, which would make them a lot more desirable. What a complete and utter disappointment (yet again).

Could the artwork have been better? (Say, the classic movie posters?) Sure. I still like the steelbooks, though. I'll pick up the steelbook versions over the standard.
