It's an awewome release for audio/ visual-philes as It's a new release with Dolby Vison which will improve the PQ. And aside of that, it's a release for the 'true' JW fan
I actively avoid using them for blurays especially steelbooks but seeing as titans in their infinite ******* wisdom decided to release something they don't have UK distribution rights to, I don't have a choice.
Choose not to buy it though, right?

What can I say. Their Mad Max steelbook was what got me back into collecting. For better or worse I feel a certain... I dunno loyalty to them. For all the hate they get on here, some of their steelbooks are actually really nice in hand.
To give you an idea how amazon.com ship their 'exclusives' (worth €140) to foreign customers....

Sigh. I was afraid of that. Like seriously is it so hard to put it in a box. Regardless of destination but especially for international shipping would it be so hard to automatically flag them as requiring a box.
What was the actual condition of the set?
I still really like the Pacific Rim. The silk screen printing on the blue print is really nice. But the Wonder Woman is good too. Honestly it was only a few they got lazy with. Casino Royale has one of the worst finishes ever and the printing looks fuzzy. But they legit did some really nice steels with nice bossing and finishes.

I live in CA, but I ordered my copy with gift packaging. They shipped it in sturdy cardboard box. The gift bag provides extra protection. Not sure if they only do that with gift packaging or if it depends on where you live or what warehouse your order ships from. I got my order from their Virginia warehouse. Ironically, the corners are a bit dinged up, which means the item was likely like that before they shipped it. Maybe there are some quality control issues with this release. I have not seen anyone post a photo or video with a mint outer box. I requested a replacement, but if it still arrives with damaged, I will just return it and forget about this release. During the past several months, if I order a couple of steelbooks with gift packaging, they have always arrived in a sturdy box with no damage.
Last Thursday, I received the new Coldplay album with bonus signed card. I used gift packaging. It arrived in a box and was in immaculate condition even though others complained in the comments section about receiving damaged copies.
Please let us know what the packaging was like, and whether it surived.
Are we able to select gift packaging on this if shipping to UK?
Wife said it didn't when she ordered it. It's currently saying Tuesday for delivery, but from last night it went from new jersey to clearing uk customs, so who knows. I'll post when it arrives. I really hope it doesn't come ******.
Last time I got something from Italy, I had gift wrapping, but it was just in a flat wrap around with the gift bag stuffed in.
Used to be when I worked there, gift wrapped stuff came in actual boxes. But what can you do eh?
