It features on all the animated DVD/Blu-ray releases from the last couple of years.

That peeling image was also on The Dark Knight Returns, and it wasn't a sticker, so I would say probably not a sticker on this one.

Interesting, althought the regular releases of these always have nice slip covers. Guess Target may continue to do these in the future after the Dark Knight Returns and this
