You gotta understand that their American Psycho was also called a 'boxset', and I'm sure thought of as 'elaborate', and 'full of goodies'.
I'm just saying there's no reason to expect much.

Ideally, to get the best quality, it needs to be split across two discs, ideally at the intermission point. Cramming it all on to one disc may be detrimental...

That would be a letdown when put on 1 100GB disc

I'm sure a SteelBook will get done, just probably on the rerelease unless it hits another territory. So elaborate special edition first ... then a year later steel.

the hard part was always getting the licensing for the anime part in the middle in the past. So it def sounds like that has finally been taken care of. I actually have a bootleg version on blu-ray so I'm glad I can now buy the real deal lol

manta wont it just be standard 4k discs,
im saying buy this very AND buy the manta steels coming then move the disc across into the manta steelbooks
because the whole bloody affair discs wont come along again i do believe
then you have both versions in steelbook

Not sure if it’s confirmed. But lionsgate did stress there will be no steelbook version from them so I don’t understand how that means France can release one
