I don't think thats a bad price. The one on ebay is £57.50 shipped to the USA
I don't know how much this seller charges as you have to message him for a quote. I hope you find one at a reasonable price, it is a great package but almost £60 is a high price to pay.

sorry for the off topic

Interview with a vampire, heat, Dracula untold, maze runner, equalizer, commando, hunger games, king Kong, Elektra, terminator, as above so below, exodus....all of the full slips thus far announced..oh and this thread.

Did I miss any? Off the top of my head

I'm on the fence between FA and BF. Both WWA, so it's gonna be the full slip that sells it. BF will likely be about £5 more than FA.

I don't like that neither of the slips have been shown yet. The GB isn't going to be around forever so a decision needs to be made.

It's a shame that the GB here is so strict, while Kev is so relaxed with his GBs and will let people drop out. I don't wanna get blacklisted, but what happens if the FA slip is garbage (imo) compared to the BF one? I'd be stuck paying for something I won't want because the alternative is being blacklisted.

There should be an exception to the GB here. You can drop out up until 48hrs after the full package is shown. What do you think @carllenc ?

Unfortunately Karel will not put a dropout rule, we all know that film arena creates wonderful FullSlips and great packages this is the reason why people go blindly in it. Karel is given the chance to do a GB when it is not even available for pre-order yet. So Karel needs to know how many copies he will need to get or sometimes already know the number. But dropping out is not a solution for Karel as he deals with many GB at once and cannot deal with people dropping out and being stuck with copies on hands trying to move. If you are not certain and not comfortable to join, it is possible to order directly from Film Arena when they go live for Pre-order. it is a bit more expensive but if it makes you more comfortable that could be an option. But the rule No backing out stands and if you do so indeed you could get Blacklisted. We all know by now that film arena produces great packages so it is the reason why people go in Blindly. I hope this helps, like I said some are more comfortable waiting and getting it directly from film arena when the beautyshot of the package is available before pre-order.

curious what the print run is going to be for this. We are around 200 in the GB alone and then you also have to figure that there are another 500 that could in theory all claim their number from the site. I am guessing it will be 1000 or more.

You know, I think one of the reasons there is no drop out rule is because this dude drives pretty damn far to go and pick these up. It would be highly annoying to keep up with all the people dropping out imo

Yes Karel Drives Periodically 500KM to Prague to get the copies himself for the GB, this is a very long Drive and he does this on the weekend in his spare time. On top of working Full Time as he has a job too, he spends almost all his free time dealing with invoices and organizing the GBs and the copies when they are on hands Plus look at the Huge lists on every single of his GBs, he has to Package and Ship all of those and also take care of the combine shipping which is time consuming. he does this at night after work and on the Weekend. He gives up his personal time because he is passionate about bringing us those wonderful film arena Collection packages at a great Price, but he is overwhelmed at times. I believe every Ninja can understand why there is a no backing out rule and it is a sign of respect also. He doesn't rush when Packing, he Packs the Steels in Bullet Proof packages so they arrive in Brand new condition. I have so much respect for Karel, he is such a wonderful addition to HDN.

Karel cannot choose the date when he will secure how many copies he needs for this GB so if FilmArena says he needs to let them know in a day or two and there are no details of the final package what would you have him do? E.g. he orders 50 copies but after the package is revealed and looks awesome he wont have enough and all members will complain. Or he will get 150 copies and then when the package will not be as everyone hoped - he lets members to sign out of the group buy and ends up with 100 copies he cannot return and has to pay for.

He has certain deal with FilmArena and its not in his power to change it so he has to work with what he gets. And he cannot constantly look at same releases from other countries and wait for their artworks to be revealed. So its up to you if you want to take the risk, either sign up or dont. Hope you understand.

With that say'd I would also say that it's easy to get rid of any Filmarena or Blufans release if you "must" buy both at the end. For both retailers are so many collectors who miss out on Group Buys that you don't need to worry to get your money back here or on some other markets. And honestly, I must buy/pre-order most of time movies I didn't even watched because in your countries it gets a Blu-ray release before its even in the cinema overhere

Karel is a ''True Collector'' it is the reason why he brings us those copies through Gbs to Other Collectors for our ''collecting personal needs''.
But the copies that are obtain through Karel's GB are for the Collector at heart, Karel has a strict rule about people signing up for the GB and then flipping some copies on the secondary market. So if you are doubtful that you will keep both copies or a copy if you sign up for a GB, make sure those copies are for you, ''the collector at heart'' to avoid issues of not being able to enter his other GB if you flip them on the secondary market(this is not the purpose of Karel's GB and his hard work and devotion to us). Karel works hard for US, not for anyone to change their mind after and sell them. Those GB privilege ''should not be Abused'' and the time that Karel Puts into them should be respected. If you sign up for a GB, make sure it is for a copy that you will keep(no matter what other versions are released afterwards). If you sign up for a GB, please make sure that this copy is for you and will stay in your collection.

OMG @Actarus calm down a little bit. We all know that. And we all respect Karels work. And I join only GBs for movies I like or I think I would like thats why I only got Dracula Untold till now.
BUT when a ninja cop from him and its a blind buy and don't like the movie he must keep it till he die only because someone puts heart in the Group Buy?! I like your passion about the Filmarena release
but don't exaggerate. Its not about scalpers, its about personal taste. And sometimes you buy a movie you don't like or buy later from another retailer a version you like more and than nobody can say a bad
word if you pass your version to a ninja who missed out and want it even more.

@dan8885 it wasn't an attack, it is an issue that has been happening, but we all know and Karel also, that some exception can happen, this is not set in stone as we know things can happen but as long as it is done with respect. Sometimes it can be great indeed to help a fellow ninja, But if you sign up and make KArel work for a GB and after another release comes out, a true collector would keep both copies, but if you end up helping someone else that has missed the GB, that is helping and does not waste Karel's time. But for a specific example: to buy from the GB and later to flip the FA copy for a higher cost on the secondary market because another version after pleases you more I find disrespectful. Again like I said some exception can happen I understand your point, but to sign up and for whatever reason at a later date flip it for a higher cost is not correct.

Nobody was talking about scalping until you brought it up. All I asked about was the back out rule maybe being a but more lenient. I'm not sure why you started a crusade.

The really annoying thing is that I wasn't even talking to you, I directly asked @carllenc a question.

In any case, I've decided to go with BF so the last page is kinda moot.

I didn't took it as an attack @Actarus I know how much passion you got for Filmarena releases so you took a lot of heart into your message. But you talking about scalpers and I talk about personal taste. Those problems are not Filmarena exclusive. And Karel puts heart in his GBs no doubt but John, Marc, Matt, Andy and everybody else also. I was only pointing out that Filmarena releases are so popular that a lot of ninjas would like to have so at the end if you choose wrong you not sit on it forever. Thats all. Sorry for off-topic.
