Covid and Brexit on top of it.

So how/why do these issues bump up postage?

Covid will obviously slow things down and Brexit involves our trade with the EU, which I’m guessing is why Film Arena postage has sky rocketed... but how does this effect postage prices from Asia?

They don't, simple answer. The world postal system is in chaos because of covid with massive backlogs everywhere, so many retailers are insisting on recordred/courier to make sure items arrive in a better timescale = much higher postage costs. Postal costs have not gone up because of Brexit.

I bought off Kimchi last week and the postage was the usual price.

I was going to say from what I can see kimchi shipping prices haven’t changed. It’s just knives out was $18 something because it is the tiniest bit heavier than their last premiums. Personally I can’t see why .30 of a gram warrants an extra $7 but apparently it does

sooo... thanks to late work work work , and then sleep sleep sleep , sadly time to dig out this gif again... :(

Running Late Whats Up GIF

have appropriately 'watched' and 'saved search,' etc, but please someone tag me in if this comes up again, etc?

Next time have something else in your basket ready, make it worth the postage lol. I wanted just Ninth Gate but ended up adding Good Will Hunting and The Miseducation of Cameron Post lol, no steels so same postage for the 3 lol

only problem is there’s nothing I want on their site. Most stuff is out of stock with steels anyway and I have everything I wanted from them. Plus I don’t really collect those blu rays in slips packages. I have a couple but they don’t really phase me unless it’s a film I adore and love that edition

it don’t matter anyway

Wow pungs prices have changed. £26.50 for shipping to the U.K.

And to think it used to be free to the U.K. from him

Yup, this is what caused my initial post in this thread. And Galaxy-estore are charging £32.57 postage!

I messaged Pung to ask about shipping rates increasing, he apologised and stated;

“Standard airmail is blocked now.
Expedited shipping is available only. That's why shipping cost is increased”

Sounds about right. I know kpacks and standard korean post is blocked for the vast majority of countries currently, including the UK. EMS is the only real option as its facilitated by UPS, but it's a good $25 more expensive vs the kpack equivalent.

Exactly. This has been going on since last year for most of us. Only UK is now added to that list too.

It sucks when Asian retailers only use premium service to your country doesn't it.....?
