I’ve not really liked any of the previous steels except the kimchi and the illustrated one a few years back so I won’t be picking that for for the disk. There will be something better in the future

Yeah, and basically almost all BDs have both, but it seems this will be DC only, as UK and German UHD releases only have the Director's Cut.

Yes it was official. Manta have already released the discs separately, I posted a picture of the back of the case. See now that'd be nice, but it doesn't work that way. Premium steelbook retailers are mostly about the packages, less so the discs. They aren't Arrow, Criterion or Shout/Scream. They have to work with what they can get, and via their distribution agreement with Gaumont they get the release from Europe, which only has the DC in 4K. They do seem to have opted for the DC only on the blu-ray as well, but I can't really comment on why that is.

Yep, only the US/CA have the US theatrical cut in 4K. UK/DE do have it on the blu-ray disc in the 4K set though.

Haha premiums have never been my thing as I’ve never felt they were worth the price generally so yeah, it’s the first time believe it or not lol.

yeah,@Flloydo, as @TheWildEye says, there are some excellent additions in that, and the 'stash house hit' is very interesting because it does not go to plan, with Leon no longer working alone. plus, it also show you Mathilda trying to impress Leon by becoming his partner in crime. i can understand why the added scenes of their relationship got cut in the US, but not the action scenes - maybe they were uncomfortable with a minor being involved.

also, for what it's worth, i really like the Director's Cut, as does my Significant Other. we appreciated how the relationship between them develops, then goes off in their minds in different directions. as someone said above, Leon is a child in a man's body, and Mathilda could be said to be somewhere in the opposite direction. the way Mathilda comes on to him is uncomfortable to watch, but Jean Reno's performance makes it clear he is not just against that, but also appalled by it (e.g. the restaurant scene in the DC). it makes their panicked, tearful goodbyes near the end of the film have more resonance.

anyway, going to re-post my massive Paris viral marketing flyposter for the film here, one of my most treasured film-related possessions, and wonder why it did not get used for any of the artwork. would have worked as an OC back.

New GB process for Leon and any other future GB's I typically host for Manta Lab, Novamedia and WeET.

• Manual corrections of spreadsheets will no longer be required.
• Payments will be collated to orders for faster processing.
• Shipping bills will be sent within a week of the GB and the shipment will be dispatched immediately upon product release.
• Orders can be tracked through the store order page.
• Multiple payment options are available, including interest-free installments.
• Overselling will be prevented.
• Payment gateway not available for hot titles due to PayPal issues will be avoided.
• The maximum order quantity limits based on GB rules mentioned for each future GB will be automatically enforced. Anyone who try's to get around the limits will be banned from future GB.
• The launch time of each product will be mentioned in the forum.

HDN fees will still be charged as the GB's will be in collaboration with the forum

1. Please create an account on the store as soon as possible.
2. Ensure that you log in at least five minutes before the GB goes live and use the following link.
3. The GB product listings will only appear at the exact predetermined GB live time. Until then, they will not be visible on the GB section or in the search results.
4. Once you have added a product to your cart, please include your HDN ID in the "Order special instructions" field.
5. Choose from multiple payment options during checkout, with Shop Pay as the preferred option. You can download and setup the shop pay app on your phone or computer in advance, you can also apple pay , meta pay, credit cards etc.
6. You will receive the shipping bill via the usual process within seven business days. I will investigate automating this process in the future and integrating it with the HDN GB section, if possible.
7. Orders can only be shipped to address provided during initial order placement. No changes allowed to ensure fast order fulfillment.

That being said here is when the Leon Group Buy will be live. Once its sold out there will be no restock and the only options would be to try directly at CollectonG store or other sources
