Will be limited to 2.5k (numbered) on this edition - Italy do have a very short run too so it's not exclusive to the UK

At one point looked like they would translate the booklet making their version different but now taking the English version.
UK set does have it's own 4K disc art though
Will there be an individual release like King Kong, Atomic etc?

UK has exclusive disc art & is numbered!
(Italy will have a short run of this however no booklet or number)
Pre-order around mid-October so stay tuned!
Why would pre order be mid October? Do you mean this month?

Thanks @Bob L'Eponge & @djjez83 Really helpful information
You Rock GIF

Potentially something else in the works to come through beforehand.
I know people were keen to see these, so wanted to get some visuals out
Ah right cool. Thought pre order would be tomorrow or Monday. You have to come through with this something else now lol

Damn.. I can't miss this one.

@Bob L'Eponge

May I ask if there's also no embossing and/or debossing on this steelbook just like with "The Black Phone"?
Yes, gloss only on this steel - the numbers are hard to stack up on these. We do try but can't always squeeze everything we want into them.
I've seen the metal proofs though and the white hit set up is great and works well with the colour palette. The spot UV on the slip should also come out great.

Ohhh so this is just flat and glossy?

I do want to give some feedback here if that’s okay. These collectors sets have gotten better as the years have gone on, the feedback seems to be listened to and taken on board so you guys seem to constantly improve on these which is great. They are the closest imo outside of a premium retailer for a premium edition. Yeah theres differences like with the slips which are completely different and more rigid but to me these editions are the closest we get to a premium edition for a reasonable price. 2 things can ruin that…. First is price increases and second is steel finishes. One major thing that adds to that premium feel is a premium finish on the steelbooks which is gloss and embossing. Debossing too but the others are embossed. Kong, atomic blonde and Northman have all received absolute praise for their finishes. Personally I think you should be doing the same here. Not sure if it’s because of the title placement that a border won’t work but that could’ve been adjusted in the design process. Or simple debossing.

People may think I’m complaining, I’m not, I love these editions when done right (not big on the black phone designs but that’s not bad considering I like most the other editions you’ve done plus I don’t really care about that film). And like I say the feedbacks seems to get taken on board with you guys so that’s why I’m saying it

Tend to agree with this. I really enjoy these editions and am a vocal about how Universal are smashing it lately. I think keeping the standard is a fair ask @Flloydo

If the embossing/debossing wasn't possible perhaps something in lieu. I personally feel that the back art of the slip box screams lenticular transition, between the two images, for example.

Understand theres a limit before price increase comes into play and definitely wouldn't want to forego the rigid slipcase etc.

This is beautiful as a whole, but the steelbook is exactly like CineMuseum's Lenticular slip, which I chose instead of a Fullslip, because that one was exactly like an HMV exclusive, which I thought I'd buy...

So Italian copies will have the booklet, and be exactly the same, save for the localized J-card, as usual/previously with other such releases?

Sure looks like a beautiful set. As for embossing/debossing on the steelbook: While it's always a nice touch (i.e, it takes an already beautiful King Kong steelbook to the next level), I don't personally mind if it's lacking on a steelbook with nice artwork and a great finish. I think this will still be a beauty, and it's certainly understandable that they are doing as much as possible within budgetary restrictions. But I totally get the sentiment of wishing this set had it, and @Flloydo is right that these are getting right up there with 'premium' releases. Honestly, I would give away a lot of my premiums before I'd ever depart with that King Kong set (and, man, what I would do to someday get a edition like that for the 1933 film).

If I had a suggestion it would be to never again use the large "UltraHD + blu-ray" on the spines like with the Jaws sets. Beyond that, let's give credit because folks at Universal UK have been doing crazy good work for several years now. It's not just these recent collector's edition sets - which seem to keep improving in quality and appearance - but also other releases like the really great Chucky TV show steelbooks. Here in the US, we have Lionsgate making some nice and sometimes very affordable steelbooks. But nobody is coming even close to what they are doing at Universal UK.
