People are taking advantage of Target's PM system to get the game for a $1 when matching to Best Buy and preordering any game. Wasn't as lucky but still happy enough to get this for $20.

Hey guys,
i want you to show my newest steelbook. It's a bit special, cause it actually "exists" only ones (by now ^^).
DRAGON AGE ORIGINS (G2 for PS3)
I'm a huge steelbook fan but i don't like jumbo steelbooks. They're just to big and with all the plastic it doesn't feel valuable.
So as i'm a PS3-Player i want my steelbooks only to be G2. As i heard from the Dragon Age Origins Collectors Editions i was a bit disappointed. A real Steelbook only G1 (US) and G2 is a damn fat jumbo (EU). So i didn't want to get my hands on one of them.
About 6 months ago i look into a german collectors forum (http://www.bluray-disc.de/forum/die-kreativ-ecke/62139-anleitung-custom-inside-cover-artwork.html), and saw a topic about custom inside arts. What they actually do is to design a artwork for steelbooks with now inside art and put it between steel and plastic. And the final results were awsome. Real talented guys and it looked as it was ever supposed to be like this.
To put the custom art between steel and plastic you actually have to dismantle the steelbook. The front and back is latched with the plastic and is quite easy to take off. It can be done with your finger nail or better a very small screwdriver. For the spine you need a very sharp cutting knife to go through the glue.
After that clean the plastic, and you can put on the custom art and put the steelbook together again.
Why i'm telling you that? Until i read that thread i would have never get the (crazy) idea: to make a normal g2 steelbook out of a jumbo sized one.
As the idea grew i looked into the web if this had actually be done and how they handle the spine. Mostly i found a few posts about Jurassic Park trilogie and Up but they all made a custom spine with photo paper or sth like that.
But i want a real spine with steel. So here we are:
I took
1)the spine from the US (G1) Steelbook and cut it on both ends with a sharp scissor so that it fit to G2
2)the front and back steel from the EU (jumbo G2)
and put it on the plastice base from a preorder steelbook that i sacrifice for it.
Finally here're the pictures from my result and i'm very happy. What do you think about it? I hope you enjoy it and perhaps some of you may be interested in doing sth like that too.
Kind regards Kreditor

That's a Damn Good Job Kreditor![]()
... Very Nice. Thanks for sharing!
As they say, "Sky's the Limit"![]()
Wow, Kreditor. Nice job, looks amazing. I have the G1 US version myself but I also mainly try to collect G2. I actually had no idea there was a G2 size and never thought about transforming my G1 into a G2. I might look into doing this after seeing your success. Thanks!
