This seems like Takashi Miike does - I Saw The Devil.

Ok, looks nice and trashy in the Miike "does cheap" style; personally I prefer it when he directs with a higher budget with slightly less weird.
I guess that's like asking an alcoholic to stop drinking.
Mike IS weird. He does weird like nobody else.

How many films has he directed now? Like over 110.
He's got a record I think. Officially. The guys an absolute nut case.

I remember talking my then girlfriend into watching Gozu with me.

I knew it was a mistake a few minutes in when a chihuahua got clobbered repeatedly against any surface close by and I saw her face drop.

The breaking point though was when a Minotaur in undies randomly appeared offering up rice and beans. She just couldn’t get her head round the fact that it went completely unexplained.

We didn’t last very long after that.
