This looks fun, I’m really looking forward to it. It feels like they should have just started with this movie. The first one wasn’t bad and it had some fun moments (Kano and Scorpion) but I wasn’t a fan of the whole Cole storyline and there not being a tournament.

I thought this was pretty good. The definitely made some adjustments based on feedback from the last one and emphatically so in some cases. The trailers are a bit misleading, this is very much a Kitana movie rather than a Johnny Cage movie. If you are a fan of the games and thought the first one had promise I recommend checking it out in theaters.

The spoiler to me is that he’s in the film!
I thought the got rid of him completely. Which was a great decision. Even funnier he’s only in it 3 minutes

It's fine, just kind of funny... I'm assuming now he gets the Annihilation Johnny Cage treatment?
I'm going to see the movie this weekend/early next week sometime so I'll find out for myself.

I actually like Lewis Tan as an actor, Just kind of dumb that his character wasn't from the games. Made no sense.

Yeah it’s kind of a shame, he is a good martial arts actor and he could have pulled off a character like Kenshi or Kuai Liang.
