Alien 3. After 20 minutes I was crying at what a travesty the film had become. I walked out the cinema going "Sob, sob, sob" Saddest visit to the cinema ever.....

Love is a Many Splendoured Thing - 1955

Ever since I was a child this film has had a profound affect on me. I weep copiously. It got so bad that some years ago my dear Mum woud urge me not to watch it if she saw it listed on TV.
Just typing this, and thinking of that final scene brings a tear to my eye.

The film's message, or course, All You Need Is Love - has never been a truer or more worthy ambition, especially in these dark days

I also consider this the scariest movie I have ever seen.
One morning a daughter announces to her mom that she will commit suicide at sunset.
The mother has the whole day to try to understand why, and try to talk her out of it as the daughter goes about the house putting her things in order before the end of the day.

Terminator 2: Yep, I get emotional when they destroy that one last chip. :(
Return of the Jedi: Same deal, the redemption of Vader is powerful only for it to be his last act.
The Green Mile: A damn injustice!

as a kid - Land Before Time

more recently I've blubbed (like the girl I am);
- The Dressmaker(did NOT see that coming)
- The Good Dinosaur (when they find their homes and the howling bit...)
- Fault in our Stars (all of it)
- If I Stay(the stuff the grandfather says...heartbreaking)
- Southpaw (all of it, especially the daddy/daughter stuff, too close to home)
- Bridge to Terabitha(sp)

...and probably others I cant recall just now. The last in that list is actually the first movie I ever cried at.

The Champ (truly- rivers of tears. saw this with my brother Mark. we didn't want to cry in front of each other. It was a battle royale that we both lost miserably)
Ice Castles (worked at the theater when this played. between shows the Kleenex pickup outnumbered the cup and popcorn pickup 4 to 1)
Sense and Sensibility
Old Yeller (my indoctrination to crying at movies)
The Promise
Terms of Endearment
Philadelphia

I don't know if I'm a robot or sth. but so far no movie made me cry, but there are a lot of movies, that leave me very sad or somewhat melancholic or even a little depressed. Some of those movies would be:
- Donnie Darko (yeah, by now this seems kinda common)
- Irreversible (oh, this ending...)
- Le feu follet (The Fire Within)
- The Impossible
- The Road
- Requiem for a Dream
- The Place Beyond the Pines
- Bellflower
- Fruitvale Station
- Ben X
- Mr. Nobody
- 21 Grams
- Menace II Society (yup, this one, too)
- I Melt With You
- Barney's Version
- A Single Man
- Jeff Who Lives at Home
- Grave of the Fireflies

Yeah, well I exaggerated a bit. Sorry for that.
