Police Academy: Steve Guttenberg Says a New Movie Is On the Way

Taking to Twitter yesterday, Steve Guttenberg said that a new Police Academy movie is on the way. “The next Police Academy is coming, no details yet, but it is in a gift bag being readied,” the actor tweeted. Guttenberg starred as Carey Mahoney in Police Academy, as well as its first three sequels, leaving the franchise after Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol. Now, it appears he’ll be back in uniform for the upcoming sequel/reboot.

This has been in the works for more than 20 years. I don't expect much movement nor a life changing sequel. David Graf and Bubba Smith made this series and without them it will feel empty. Just my opinion.
