ReedPop, the world’s leading producer of pop culture events, announced today that Susan Sarandon, star of Rocky Horror Picture Show and Thelma & Louise, is heading to New York Comic Con. NYCC takes place on October 12-15, 2023 at the Javits Center in NYC with a must-see slate of special guests, panelists, exhibitors, artists, and more.
Fans looking for a chance to meet Susan Sarandon can purchase Photo Ops and Autograph sessions with the star for Thursday and Friday during NYCC. Sarandon is also teaming up with her fellow co-star Tim Curry for Photo Ops on both days. Photo Ops and Autograph sessions will go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, August 18 at 11:00 AM ET. Fans unable to attend NYCC in person this year can send an item to SWAU, ReedPop’s official send-in autograph partner, to be returned with an autograph.
Each year, NYCC brings together the biggest names in pop culture, the world’s top comic artists, and thousands of fans to celebrate the fandoms they love. They will discuss this breakout graphic novel that follows Andrés and his non-profit World Central Kitchen, which provides meals in the wake of natural disasters. Z2, the multiple Eisner-winning and Ringo-winning independent publisher of graphic novels, is set to raise their fist in celebration of their music creators this October at New York Comic Con with plans to host multiple signings at their booth, debut new titles, and participate in panels.
Z2 Comics will invade New York Comic Con in October with an array of talent appearing in support of current and upcoming graphic novels. While days and times are yet to be finalized, among those confirmed include Halestorm, GWAR, Alan Robert of Life Of Agony and Dee Snider of the legendary Twisted Sister.
The entire band of Halestorm, including Lzzy Hale, will appear at NYCC 2023 in support of their graphic novel entitled Hyde Manor released in late August 2023. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the 2012 EP Hello, It’s Mz Hyde and its ensuing LP, The Strange Case Of…, the Hyde Manor graphic novel depicts the members of Halestorm encountering sinister doppelgangers of themselves. Within the decrepit halls of Hyde Manor, mirror reflections independently talk back and photographs transform to reveal sordid prophecies, leading the band to slowly succumb to madness while recording a new album. The tale creaks and twists with doom-filled revelations, perfectly tied to Halestorm’s scorching discography. Twins Brittany and Brianna Winner (the Twin Soul series), artist Sara Scalia, cover artist Alison Sampson, and colorist DJ Alonso weave a tale of the celebrated group as they seek refuge in the titular Hyde Manor—a sprawling gothic estate perched on the remote end of the Oregon Coast.
GWAR will also be attending NYCC to promote In the Duoverse Of Absurdity released earlier this year. The story follows the band into the multiverse where they encounter alternate versions of themselves from another dimension, forcing GWAR to defend their universe from the intruders. If unleashed upon the universe, these dark mirror incarnations would dominate and subjugate all of humanity to the will of The Master. In the Duoverse Of Absurdity is co-written by GWAR rhythm guitarist Michael Derks and singer Matt Maguire, with art by Andy MacDonald (2020 Machine Man) and Shane White (Negative Burn).
The legendary Twisted Sister frontman, Dee Snider will be on hand to support He's Not Gonna Take It set to be released in late November. This new graphic novel will follow the impact of Dee's battle for freedom of expression in the arts throughout his life. From a childhood where he was frequently silenced, through the early efforts to stifle his band’s music, to the open warfare of the PMRC hearings in Washington DC, and his current efforts on social media. He's Not Gonna Take It tells the story of why free speech is so important to this man who has fought for it…even when it endangered everything that was important to him.

Legendary anime studio Toei Animation returns to New York Comic Con (“NYCC”) this year to celebrate a trio of its top franchises. For 2023, guests at one of the largest annual pop culture conventions in North America will be treated to a bevy of location-based entertainment experiences spotlighting Dragon Ball, One Piece and Digimon over four consecutive days. From October 12 – 15, Toei Animation will showcase these three fan-favorite properties with a line-up spanning celebrity panels to multiple exhibition spaces (Booths #2635 & #2821), which will include not only a pop-up shop, life-sized statues, GIF photobooth, murals and card game demo play but also the unveiling of two giant character inflatables, namely, the worldwide debut of a new Goku balloon and the first ever display of the Monkey D. Luffy Gear Five balloon outside of Japan – the same balloon that debuted during the 2023 One Piece Day celebration at Tokyo Big Sight in July. Booth 2635 will feature both Dragon Ball and Digimon while Booth 2821 will be dedicated to One Piece and will host a special display that will be revealed in a major One Piece franchise announcement on October 4. For NYCC, the Toei Animation X Dim Mak Pop-Up Shop (Booth #2821) will present a curated selection of merchandise, including apparel, skate decks and enamel pins, from One Piece, Dragon Ball Super, Digimon and Toei Animation – plus the first drop of all-new One Piece Gear Five designs, including apparel and a skate deck. Toei Animation’s NYCC 2023 programming schedule kicks-off with the Dragon Ball Special Panel on Opening Day, Thursday, October 12, at 12:45 pm on the Empire Stage. On Day Two, Friday, October 13, at 1:45 pm in Room 409, Toei Animation presents the Digimon Adventure – Past & Future Panel. Led by host Justin Rojas, this special Q&A panel offers North American fans the opportunity to hear from Japanese guest Hiromi Seki, producer of the original “Digimon Adventure” and “Digimon Adventure 02” TV series. The panel will close with a special look at the new movie “Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning,” which premieres in the United States, Latin American, Australia and New Zealand this fall.
On Day Three, Saturday, October 14, at 6:30 pm on the Main Stage, Toei Animation and Crunchyroll present the “One Piece” Dub Villains Panel, which will kick-off with the English dub premiere of “One Piece” Episode 1015. Following the screening, host Jacki Jing will lead a Q&A with a group of English dub voice actors behind some of the anime series’ most iconic villains.

Storm King Comics Scares Up Two Unique Horror-Themed Panels at New York Comic-Con
he times we live in are terrifying enough, so creators of horror stories across different media have a challenge to out-scare the headlines. Storm King Comics founder and horror legend Sandy King Carpenter will lead a panel discussion about the topic as part of New York Comic-Con, the comics publisher announced today.
In addition, King Carpenter will hold a special hourlong exploration of the origins, impact and future of Storm King Comics as the publishing house celebrates its first 10 years, sharing insight into her work with longtime partner and iconic horror director John Carpenter.
On Thursday, Oct. 12, King Carpenter will host Creating Modern Horror: Scaring People in Scary Times (12:15 p.m., Room 406.1), joined by artist Cat Staggs and author Amanda Deibert, both of whom collaborated with King on Death Mask, the first graphic novel from Storm King’s “Dark & Twisted” imprint. They’ll also be joined by writers and creators Neo Edmund, Sara Richard, Sian Mandrake, Richard P. Clark and Sean Sobczak, all of whom have helped create terrifying tales for Storm King Comics.
“New York Comic-Con has always, first and foremost, been about comics, and comics have always been about thrilling readers—and, in our case, making it impossible for them to go to bed at night,” King Carpenter said. “So we’re incredibly excited to create this comics-focused panel that addresses the challenges and excitement of creating stories and captivating readers.”

This is a two-part event, so please, PLEASE READ so no one misses any critical info, because it’s uber exciting stuff. Here’s everything you need to know, including a first look at the exclusive official meet-up KUNUFLEX™ for Mosh event attendees.
Official Pre-Party Meet-Up
To celebrate our pals at Mosh Eisley, the galactic-themed, lightsaber-laden pop punk emo night taking over Manhattan on New York Comic-Con weekend, the RSVLTS crew is throwing an epic official pre-party meet-up for RSVLTS family, friends, the Mosh Eisley crew, and RSVLTS Insiders from 8pm-10pm ET at a venue a block from the Gramercy Theater.We locked down The Globe for the party which is a legendary NYC haunt, especially if you’re a fan of the Premier League futbol or any soccer in general.
The entire RSVLTS crew will be there and we're guessing* Steve will be several beers deep handing out beverages and light snacks to everyone within sight throughout the event (*factual).
This official pre-party is free to attend (Mosh Eisley ticket NOT required), however you must RSVP (we just opened 50 more spots) so we can keep track.
A pre-party wristband will be provided upon arrival, which you'll need for the reminder of the evening, especially at Mosh Eisley (read more below).
Again, Mosh Eisley tickets are NOT required to attend the pre-Mosh meet-up, so even if you don't have Mosh tickets, we still encourage all to come hang out with us before the event! In celebration of the return of the popular V/H/S franchise – V/H/S/85 begins streaming on October 6 – Shudder brings together directors from each installment of the horror phenomenon to talk about their respective films, the horror genre today, the evolution of the franchise and what’s to come. The panel, moderated by Shudder’s VP of Programming Samuel Zimmerman, will feature David Bruckner (V/H/S/1), Chloe Okuno (V/H/S/94), Natasha Kermani (V/H/S/85), Jason Eisener (V/H/S/2), and Tyler McIntyre (V/H/S/99), among others.
Season one of “Shining Vale” introduced Pat and Terry Phelps, a dysfunctional family that tried to run from their problems by moving their kids into a Victorian mansion in small-town Connecticut. The only problem? It may be haunted. Once settled in, Pat encountered Rosemary, a demon who possessed her body and turned her life upside down. When the family steps in to “save” Pat, they commit her to a psychiatric hospital where she sees an old photo of a nurse who looks just like her demon Rosemary.
Season two kicks off four months later, when Pat’s insurance runs out and she is released from the psychiatric hospital early. Pat returns home, determined to pick up the pieces of her broken family, but she quickly finds out her children don’t need her, Terry doesn’t remember her and to make matters worse, Pat’s new neighbor Ruth looks exactly like Rosemary. Meanwhile, the house starts to reveal the shocking secrets of its dark past. Every mother feels like they live in an insane asylum, but Pat may be right!
