In an introductory video released today, Nintendo provided the first glimpse of its new home gaming system and revealed that it is called Nintendo Switch. In addition to providing single and multiplayer thrills at home, the Nintendo Switch system also enables gamers to play the same title wherever, whenever and with whomever they choose. The mobility of a handheld is now added to the power of a home gaming system to enable unprecedented new video game play styles.

At home, Nintendo Switch rests in the Nintendo Switch Dock that connects the system to the TV and lets you play with family and friends in the comfort of your living room. By simply lifting Nintendo Switch from the dock, the system will instantly transition to portable mode, and the same great gaming experience that was being enjoyed at home now travels with you. The portability of Nintendo Switch is enhanced by its bright high-definition display. It brings the full home gaming system experience with you to the park, on an airplane, in a car, or to a friend’s apartment.

No worries mate... I'd completely forgotten about this anyway lol.

I think my hands must've gotten used to holding the console now, because thankfully they no longer ache. I still don't really like how the analogue sticks aren't in the same position though (one higher than the other)... it'd make it that little bit more comfortable and easy to use if they were IMO, but that's just a minor complaint.

As for the colour... I've since asked family members what colour they see and they ALL said red, so maybe I'm just colourblind lol. I've also noticed that with the battery... some games definitely drain it a lot more than others. It's probably a good thing that it mostly only lasts a couple of hours though, otherwise I'd be on it all day. :p
Glad you are getting used to it mate! I think it is a bit of a strange position to hold it at first but it dies feel normal after a while. I found it very wide at first but I don’t notice now. I actually found it a bit more uncomfortable when trying to use the direction buttons below the stick like a Dpad. I think it’s whatever you are used to but I do agree the Xbox/PS4 controllers do feel more comfortable.

Haha at least it is red then and not pink. As Robles said the pink one is mega pink so you wouldn’t miss it! Lol. I was gonna get the Ashes cricket for it but I’ve heard bad reviews and when I found out there’s no actual cartridge that did it. What’s the point of buying the box if there’s just a code inside, crazy! They also have the nerve to charge the same price aswell! I’m also waiting for Snooker 19, I love my sports games!:)

Also we might get some Pokemon or Zelda Limited Editions in the future. Or we can only hope so haha

@Savage Clown It's not bad, depends where and how you think of using it. I find I never used mine at home since I always have the option of playing on my PS5 or PS4 Pro in the past. It's great for traveling and using it on the road.
Also depends on how many Nintendo exclusives you plan on tackling.

Personally, I had both the Switch Lite and the Actual Switch that can be hooked to TV. Both limited edition (Lite is the Zacian and Zamalenta Edition) and the other was Animal Crossing.) I ended up selling the Animal Crossing one and kept the lite since the only times I would consider using it is when travelling.

Do you have a Switch, if so how do you like yours? Are they pretty fun to play?
Yes I have a Gen 2 Switch, I like it, easy to switch between dockingmode on tv and handheldmode. Joy-cons are so-so.. nice that you can have your hands left and right from you when you are playing on the sofa, but in handheldmode I need a grip-cover for my hands, because otherwise my hands hurt after playing more than 15 mins.. everything is so tiny and I havent the tiniest hands :D

but all in all a nice (hybrid-)console if you dont need 4k or super-res games
