how come the manta lab oppenheimer is not happening? i must of missed this.
I said “looks like its not happening” I didn’t confirm it.

Can’t remember what they said now. What the exact reason was.

Wow, looks great, and booklet and cards! I don't have any steelbooks, only that US digipack.
But $120 is too much. Even Japanese Dune 2 with cards cost $80 shipped...

Very long time listener, first time poster :) (hopefully I’m doing this correctly )

It’s currently available to pre-order through iMusic : Oppenheimer Collector's Edition (4K Ultra HD/BD) [Limited Collector's edition] (2024)

18. November release date and a, ridiculously, silly (I think) retail price of 700DKK (about £80).
It isn't silly for the region. Physical media costs different amounts (as does everything), subject to the amount residents are typically paid. This should be available in the UK for £45, like all other Uni CEs. Don't worry about it.

I Hope there sell pre-orders on UK Amazon, Zabi, or other countries' Amazon :)

If the other Uni releases are anything to go by, it'll be available via hmv, amazon uk and zavvi. It should be available via other EU amazon's if this listing is true, as it won't be a UK exclusive.

It'd be silly for Universal to make this low limited. They'll make a boatload of more cash with a larger, multiple country stock release. I recall reading Twister being 6000 or so units against King Kongs and Atomics etc, being 2000. I'd wager Oppenheimer will be the former at the higher number.
Then release the steelbook again as a standalone third variant.

I think @samdavies is right.
According to statistics, average monthly salary in Denmark is £5300, while it's £2900 in UK.
This edition costs about £80, which is exactly 80% more, than £45, as the salary, so the world corporations are making people there equally poorer, as in UK, relative to income...

I hope when this comes to the UK that Golden Discs will have it as well. A German Release would be even better tough, but I feel like that would be Steelbook only Like King Kong and Atomic...

I couldn't find a way to edit the post, but CDON has now listed it at a price of 699 kr, which is much cheaper.
Let's hope other countries follow that pricing!
Much cheaper than what? 700 dutch kronas is the £80/$105 I was talking about...

The Dutch use Euro’s ;)

It’s also available through the Danish version of CDON for 481DKK - which is about £55. (And more in line with a potential UK/EU release, possibly priced same as the recent King Kong release)

Crikey, it’s getting expensive to be a collector these days with all them box sets coming

The 'kr' here refers to Swedish krona, not Dutch Krona, which means the price should be currently around £52/$69.
Oh, it's another krona, like Australian krona, OK. :shipped:

The Dutch use Euro’s ;)
Right! Yet they're all writing prices in their kronas, CZK, and zlotas - talking about FilmArena and polish DVDMax.
So it seems no one wants this oy-ai-ouch-oyro...
