Rating a film based purely on its legacy potential can overlook its impact in the moment, and PHM’s technical execution and narrative drive certainly resonate with audiences now.

I think I remember saying it might be this generations E.T. immediately after. Time will tell on that.

it's certainly not a better film than Apocalypse Now or Dune 2, on any level.

It's a better fun-feel-good film than any of those can say they are... that is a level

Watched it last night. Really enjoyed it. I wasn’t expecting so much comedy and it being more light hearted but it worked well. Gosling as always was perfect
