If the slip will be something like Halloween for example, we can expect the water drops embossed and spot glossed, I believe it will be a killer slip
Yep Halloween was good. Gladiator was more cardboard like. Looked good, not so good up close.

Everybody wants to try for a little of that Olly Moss magic with the image-inside-another-image design. But it's difficult to make it work in a way that makes any sense. On this slip art, I don't really get it—why is the Bates Motel inside Marion? Why is Norman inside the word BATES (which makes sense), but Marion is inside the word PSYCHO (though she's SPOILER not the psycho)?

However, I am glad to get such a close-up glimpse of ENVELOPE. :)

The full slip front artwork looks like a male-female version of one of my favorite sub-B movies, The Thing With Two Heads starring the great Ray Milland and the great Rosey Grier. Love it. The back artwork looks like it reads RATES, instead of BATES. It reminds me how rates have been slashed to zero so that I get no interest from savings which means less money available for steelbook editions. Hate it. The steelbook appears to suck really bad but all the extras are attractive. Bottom line: I'm on the proverbial fence.

My problem with EverythingBlu is how easily their coverslips scratch. My Casino coverslip is all scratched up. They need better material.

I think the reason they can put together a package with 4K steel, and lots of bits for £40-50 is the slips are thin. They have the embossing etc, but feeling say Gladiator against a decent Manta or the likes and they feel very different. I didn’t open Casino as was hoping the CM would be better as not in love with it. Halloween was decent (but still thin) and £20ish, but they were getting the name out.

Not that I don’t like them or feel they don’t offer value, just feel lesser than some of the other premium retailers imo. Less stuff, more quality.

you have already put more thought into it than the designers! ;) i love this film, but i am not going for this. realised i do like extras, especially proper booklets with words and essays, but the steel and slip are the key aspects for me. great example where the steel (which i appreciate is the WWA) shoud have had no text at all on the front. they could have done the image in the silhouette in in alternate way, but the image itself is iconic and could live without the text, which makes it look like a Psycho-branded knife. agree with you on the slip, it's relatively classy, but the images themselves don't quite work for subjective me.

i have a real dislike of the use of the final Norman shot on the extras artwork, spoiler alert!, goes with my dislike of using final shots from movies on any artwork. (n)

the black, red and greyscale-only works really well on the folder and slip, shame they went all colourful on the booklet. but appreciate that's all release artwork as well, so what do i know?

same, i like everythingBlu as well, but there is so much stuff here. the correctly tube-rolled poster is a plus, but while i like character cards, i don't need large ones, nor the strut card. the room key is good, less so the number plate, but that sort of Kimchi Memento-style extra-from-the-film is great - and also small!

I've never bought a movie and thought, "Oh, man...if only there were a strut card, this would be perfect!" :)

I keep delaying ordering this one, expecting announcements from BB, HDZ, and Cinemuseum any minute. But maybe this is really all for this WWA?
I think CM announced somewhere that they are planning to release it. There was nothing from BB or HdZeta.
I really doubt HdZeta will pick this up, but BB on the other hand definitely might, it would make sense since they already released 2 Hitchcock’s movies

What's the word, @duckandrun -- anything in the works for this one?
