In 1996, Nicolas Winding Refn changed Danish cinema forever with his debut film, Pusher. With Pusher, Refn set a new standard for what Danish film could be, launching himself onto the international film scene. The two sequels, Pusher II and Pusher III, completed the trilogy, which is now considered an iconic work that continues to inspire filmmakers worldwide.
At the same time, presented here in a newly restored version, is director Poul Nyrup’s forgotten youth films. This trilogy from the 1960s, which also portrays life on the fringes of society, is an important yet often overlooked part of Danish film history and shares a kinship with the Pusher trilogy in its uncompromising depiction of marginalized lives.

Nicer than the Umbrella version in terms of artwork (not a fan of the artist’s work that they keep using including Pusher). Any idea if the booklets are usually in English from this company? Don’t know them

New/different extras from the Umbrella Boxset - that one has 3 whole other director commentaries absent here, and 7 other featurettes, so with the cards/booklet, I'm not sorry I bought their edition already.
