Steelbook collecting is HIGHLY SPECULATIVE, and different collectors have different ideas of 'rarity', 'limited', 'sought after', and related terms-all of which may change at the drop of a hat with re-releases, or new info.

I posted this in another forum before but I prefer this one, so I try again here. This is an ongoing list that combines a variety of factors that may contribute to the scarcity or rarity of these Steelbooks.-Sirjump

We started off with a "ranked" list, but as many folks may rank items differently, a general "resource" list of harder to find Steelbooks/Rare titles helps the community more. Feel free to comment so we can consider adding or subtract. -Digitalbabe

I consider it slighty rare but Dont think it should be on the rare list.

I don't think The Hurt Locker [KOR] is rare. I can still find it at several locations. Maybe scarce but not rare.

I think SEANNA Collector Edition OZ is very rare and really hard to find.
and A Team Japan steelbook now is out of printed, rare.

Yup. The JBHi-Fi Senna Ultimate Collector's Edition metal pack is now rarer and more expensive than a good 75% of the rest of the list.

Nowhere near rare. It is recently out of print, however it is readily available on ebay. I just sold one of my spares on ebay for around £33

What is getting close to rare status out of the Australian steels is 2012.

I didn't see the £70 one... I have most of them on my watch list. Are you 100% sure it was Knowing? If so, a complete sucker purchased it

Currently own 21 out of the ones in the list and only want 4 to complete my most wanted rare steelbooks

Just noticed that Cowboys & Aliens from (Germany/USA/Netherlands) listed as rare but how about the UK Steelbook one??

If the German one is then surely the UK one is too, am I missing something?
