*PLEASE NOTE: This list is a 'guide' only and compiled based on a variety of factors including community 'feedback' and 'suggestions'. Steelbook collecting is HIGHLY SPECULATIVE, and different collectors have different ideas of 'rarity', 'limited', 'sought after', and related terms-all of which may change at the drop of a hat with re-releases, or new info.

I posted this in another forum before but I prefer this one, so I try again here. This is an ongoing list that combines a variety of factors that may contribute to the scarcity or rarity of these Steelbooks.-Sirjump

We started off with a "ranked" list, but as many folks may rank items differently, a general "resource" list of harder to find Steelbooks/Rare titles helps the community more. Feel free to comment so we can consider adding or subtract. -Digitalbabe

Its not rare but a very nice edition if the price is right buy it

Yep. It hasn't even released and it is sold out. Could be worth more than BTTF tin.

What is the definitive way to tell which of the re-release was uncut vs. cut? if there is no definitive way, then its hard for the value/demand to go up on the uncut vs.

I see a red thing in the middle of the back of that steel. Is that on every cut version? I have an uncut simply because I bought it from masterblaster during the first release day, but I've never really known how to tell the difference between the repackaged version.

Well, my understanding is this, JR MM cut has the recycle logo (I highlighted this in red) as it was repackaged with the correct disc.

I think it is. It just happens to be that there were a whole lot of them sitting around on shelves in QC stores for some reason which were recently all bought and sold on the forum as favours which makes it look like its not rare but I think it is.

Up Futureshop steel should definately be on the list.
A couple of German steelbooks that I thought were difficult to aquire are the Resident Evil Trilogy and Death Proof

ps. Ash, John Rambo wont be selling for $1000 ... its hovered at $500 max for like ever. I also dont think a sealed Iron Man would go again for $1000. I could be wrong, but more likely a bidding war happened last time.

Yeah but you have some very tasty ones in those 7, like Iron Man (FS).

Cannot believe I have 42 off the list, only another 22 to go, and they're all the expensive ones !! One arrived this morning and it's HUGE: Cowboys & Aliens (DE) (tin & steelbook/book).

I´d like to nominate "Clockwork Goddess" from Japan to enter the list. It´s not even out yet and still available for pre-order but the price of 85€ or 110$ for a new Steel makes it hard to get and more expensive than a lot of other Steels that are on the list allready.
