Again another excellent outing from Columbo's fellow detective and another excellent pressing from the French label on blu-ray.
If you're a fan of the show I recommend these pressings. Yes I know Fabulous films in the UK have just done Season 1 but will they
do all seasons?

A show I tried to watch originally on TV but I couldn't get past the dire video quality. Thankfully this has been properly remastered from the film elements and boy what a difference. Not perfect but an enjoyable boys own adventure.
This is the German blu-ray pressing. Cheaper than getting the USA version and identical

Notice a trend here?. Having to get my blu-rays of classic shows from countries outside the UK and USA.

Happy

Had already watched the 1st series when it was released on Netflix, but just give it another watch ready for season 2. Great stuff.

Yes or No. Was Lost the best TV show of all time?

I want this post to blow up.

Star Trek Discovery Season 2
Had a chance to catch the last 5 episodes of this show last week thanks to a mate of mine. To say this show is a travesty would be an insult to bad tv. It's not just the worst Star Trek show ever made made in my book, its beyond dire. It stinks in every area. To be consigned to TV hell ASAP. how it's getting a 3rd season is beyond me. No stars at all for this garbage. Watched from Netflix

A timeless classic which I hadn't watched in years. Every bit as good as I remember. Looking forward to season 2.
This was the Warner DVD box set collection I was watching.

Recently shown on Talking Pictures and boy is that good. A masterclass of writing and pure talent. From Edward Woodwards killer with a conscience to his sidekick Lonely
a masterclass in spy drama. All surviving episodes are available from Network home video.

This rarely seen british drama about a Private Eye who deals in ordinary cases is again an example of high quality drama. Solid scripts and acting. I watched the 2 colour seasons from 1972/74.
The early two seasons were a victim of the TV purge at the time and very few episodes exist. All surviving episodes are available as a box set from Network Home video

Hadn't watched this season in donkey's years and I found it a refreshingly excellent series with the theme of delay all throughout. It consists of The Leisure Hive, Meglos, Full Circle, State of Decay, Warriors Gate, The Keeper of Traken and Logopolis.
With the exception of Meglos which I thought was the weak link in the season I enjoyed them All.The new 5.1 sound on Warriors Gate and the updated Special Effects on Logopolis were a joy. A recommended blu-ray. My only complaint is the overhaul
in special effects don't go far enough. I wish they would do it for all the episodes because it does make a difference in viewing. A classic example is Tom Baker's 1st season with Revenge of the Cybermen getting a CGI overhaul and it makes a major difference
for the final 10 minutes.

Anyway that's my viewing for the moment. More in a few months.

Glad we can agree on this. Im rewatching it for my 9th run through. I just cant get enough of it
NINTH?! Damn, it's my favourite TV series of all-time, but I've only seen it through twice. I have actually been wanting to get around to watching it again, but there's just so many other shows I also want to watch.

Its a disease. I watch it, and then i watch it with commentary and then i watch it with all the bonus features. Everytime, i spot something new as its so multilayered.

Now that's dedication! I've never watched them with commentary, nor have I watched all the bonus features... maybe I should do that next.
