yeah i had 2 copies ordered and have just cancelled one of mine, going to get the french one aswell i think.

The French one looks so good, but then they had to put their language on it, and it's Region B locked, but I guess if I am in a GB for this one, I never need to open the French one, amirite?

I'm not cancelling, this is OOS ATM even with printed logos (unconfirmed). My hunch is that the FR release is going to be a stunner, I'm getting that as well.

Ok here's the info folks ....

Fox have told us that the certs, reverse blurb and barcodes are printed on the steelbook itself not on a separate sleeve like Universal have done with Hannah and Fast Five.

As always, first hand info from Hi-Def Ninja ;)

FYI: This is not a play.com thing ... it had to do with the studio. Play.com is still committed in bringing the UK (and the rest of importers) the best steelbooks they can. I'm working hard on dealing with the two in hopes of them realizing the potential of sales volume if the artwork is more widely appealing. ie. thinking outside the box and understanding how many of these steelbooks get sourced outside of the UK. Play.com is totally understanding, it's the studio; but I gotta show stats, threads, reports etc. blah blah blah to convince studios. Never an easy process, but the battle continues on.

shout out to DK who reminded me to get him this info. ;)

printed logos are on the steel and the text on the back is printed wreck confirmed this a few days ago so there is no unconfirmed about it ;)

It's FOX, almost 90% region lock just like X-Men from Play :)

everytime I look at the cover, those 4 rating logos are so distracting behind a dark background....

If that's the case, I'm gonna one mad Canadian eh. To make up for is terribleness, it should be region free now, so we can one to play in Region A!

Is there any reason to think that this would not be a Region 2 locked edition? I read earlier on in this thread and someone mentioned that the regular Blu-ray edition is Region ABC. Is it a safe assumption to think that the SB would be the same?

I never knew that...there goes my 90% lock prediction. LOL I guess we only know for sure once we test the disc. If the regular one is already confirmed ABC, then I can't imagine them printing a separate batch for the steelbook. If that's the case, then the French edition probably ABC too.

I see what you are talking about now.

Region printing on covers and discs are not always accurate. That's a good sign that it shows all regions, but it's not definitive. We'll have to see.
