Version I see teased the other day was much better. Had the same art but as a open up version with wrap around art and a PET.
Obviously was wrong but it looked miles better

This is the original version I see which looks so much cooler. I’ll still go for it though because I do like that art

Not that it bothers me, as I was sticking with the Vinegar Syndrome VSU release anyway, but I don’t get how Arrow now determine which ‘limited edition’ releases are deserving of the hard box/perfect bound book treatment and which aren’t.

Don’t bother with Roadhouse, but do so for a far more niche title in Dark City?

Yeah but how nice would this have been as a steelbook! Or even a hardbox with PET...

Yeah I don't get it tbh. On one hand I applaud them giving Dark City that treatment.. on the other I wonder who is making the decisions when they don't do the same for Roadhouse. Maybe it is to do with whether there is a plan to release something down the line in the US? Pure speculation tbh but supposing they even had the US rights & that is the case... they probably didn't want that smoke being compared to that superb VSU packaging anyway. VSU is the best boutique packaging out there for my money currently. I bet you're well happy you have that now!

DARK CITY is a certified masterpiece. ROAD HOUSE is a goofy fun 80s movie.
They made the correct call.
