Still puzzled by this. The remastered Robocop from Sony a few years back was superb so I honestly can't think what they could offer here unless for a special 4k deluxe release. (Yep I know we can always dream!)

Arrow release will have new extras

Arrow unlikely to do UHD anytime soon as unit disc sales is still tiny compared to Blu-ray/DVD
Year ending 2018 global market DVD discs still accounts for 57.9 percent of disc media sales while higher-quality 4K UHD discs only grabbed 5.3 percent of sales
They would need a distribution licence from film studio to do UHD release and even if that given there is not enough unit disc sales at the moment for Arrow to do UHD on their own
They only have distribution licence for Blu-ray/DVD

Physical Discs Arrow don't have a distribution licence for UHD Discs yet
Films arrow have released on Blu-ray you need to wait for film studios to do a UHD release
Example Waterworld UHD release rights is with Universal and is why UHD release was done by Universal
It cost universal lot less to do UHD releases than it would be for independent distributors like Arrow
There is simply not enough unit disc sales of UHD at the moment to be financially viable for arrow to do UHD
Blu-ray discs sells more than UHD
DVD discs even sells more than both Blu-ray and UHD combined

Digital streaming/On-Demand
Arrow will be doing 4K Digital with some of their releases on Amazon Prime towards end of this year or in 2020
Cost to do digital release is lot less than physical media and makes more profit

Digital global market for year ending 2018 was $42.6 billion
Digital market now makes more revenue than physical media does

Global Home entertainment consumer spending year ending 2018 (US +International)

Total revenue year ending 2018
Physical media + Digital Media revenue $55.7 billion (US + International)
Physical media $13.1 billion
Digital media $42.6 billion

Digital revenue makes lot more than Physical Discs Media

Lot more 4K Tv's in homes but this does not translate to everyone purchasing UHD discs
Most are using 4K Streaming ability that's on 4K Tv's which is why digital streaming market now is bigger than physical media market

Correct a typo on my part

Still shows you though the huge difference between physical media and Digital streaming/On-Demand market

Physical media disc sales will drop more this year and following years
4K UHD disc sales yes will increase but still be a tiny % of physical disc sales compared to years ago with DVD and Blu-ray
2018 Physical media
DVD 57.9 %
UHD 5.3%

There is a big increase of 4K TV's in homes and soon you will have 8K TV's in homes
TV's in homes more is used for streaming 4K content than purchases of 4K UHD discs
Digital market is expected to be 124.57 Billion by 2025

$13.1 billion for physical media is still a big amount of money but it's a huge drop compared to what the revenue was 5 years ago

There will still be physical discs for years to come but there will be huge increase of watching films/sport etc on TV's and other streaming devices using digital format compared to physical discs

Amazon Prime and Netflix is going to have lot more content in regards to Films/TV and live sport with a lot of the content in 4K

It's also why Arrow films are releasing their catalog with Amazon Prime

Wouldn't be surprised if Arrow has acquired RoboDoc to pack in as an exclusive extra.
Arrow have replied on twitter to this question previously that it will not be possible to include RoboDoc

The production company behind RoboDoc will though be providing new extras for the Arrow release

Dead mouse productions have done a lot of extras for previous arrow releases

You might see some select content from RoboDoc be included as dead mouse productions are the company making that documentary
Licensing reasons and production timeline is why Robodoc could not be included in full
