Didn't the last Robocop steelbook (the glossy one) have an remaster upgrade from the first matte one?

How many times can they remaster the PQ?

Surely there won't be that much of a difference again over the last one?

I know there's new extras but that doesn't really matter to me. Only watch them once anyway.

The artwork is top drawer on this. But as the boys say, ripping the piss at €30 before shipping.

Hopefully it'll hang around to drop in price or be in another Arrow BOGOF.........

Well I have ordered the steelbook and the limited edition. The price is not bothering me at all, as the film is such a classic, and I have the previous steel books too.

If you really want the steelbook or the limited edition, you should get your pre-order in now... the chances of a price drop is small, and it will sell out before you know it... and then you would of missed it! Look what happened with the The Thing's release.

Finally! Pre ordered this bad boy and the regular version, keeping this one sealed. Love that it has the original artwork on the front, now all I’m wondering is might they tie this in with a cinematic re release?

arrow means matte right?
Most times yes but quality matte finish most times
Exceptions was Zavvi exclusives limited to 2000 each for Zavvi/arrow video 5 Year anniversary in 2014 these was made in china

They had a small number steelbook that had spot gloss and a couple of releases full gloss

Bonus features-wise, I wonder if the old disc is worth keeping? I guess not everything will be ported over.

I love the fact that they went with original poster art for the steel. Can rarely miss with that (makes me wonder why nobody still made Alien steelbook with that classic green egg).

Pre-ordered.

Was expecting the special edition but wasn't expecting the steelbook , so a welcomed edition for me

So is this a new transfer? I have the previous steelbook (I think it was Zavvi) that included a 'remastered' version of the movie with seamless branching of the extra footage, but the extra shots had noticeably worse PQ than the main feature

I think it is 3 featurettes missing from this. One making-of that is about 35 mins, and a couple of 8 minute ones. Everything else seems to be on this plus loads of new stuff. I'll be adding my old disc to the new collection so I have everything. As for the transfer, I think it is the same one as used on the previous special edition, only this time the theatrical and extended cuts are each given their own discs.

I heard a little while back Amazon UK were charging for pre-orders at checkout.. is this still going on?
I don't think so, and I understand that was an error (some 'blip' in their system) rather than a change in policy.

I've currently got 4 pre-orders that I placed in June and July and I haven't been charged for any of them.
