Kimchi are sexing up their releases with the nice slips and extras and we all know 'sex sells', so if they continue to take as much care and attention with their exclusives, they'll continue to shift them quickly.

I passed on Rush as I'm cutting out double dipping completely and selling all the duplicates in my collection, and the UK Rush is nice enough not to tempt me here.

For sure the lenti will be selling for less than cost price once they flood eBay. 4,000 copies were picked up in minutes, and along with the fact a lot of collectors already have the UKs amazing Rush, there will not be enough collectors who actually need this to drive the price up. If anyone does, once again the UK version will prove to be the wiser option long term for less money originally.

I think cost depends on where you live. If you are based in the UK, then the UK release was obviously cheaper. I just looked up my account on amazon to see what I paid for the UK release. $40.16 delivered to the US. This would have cost me roughly $47-$48 delivered. Its about a £4 difference which isn't much IMO. In terms of desirability, the kimchi / Plain Archive package is unbeatable as things stand. The wiser option is to pick this up at cost. Buying these Kimchi exclusives in the after market is often a risky and expensive proposition. Some of what I consider fringe offerings can be purchased around cost. I do not consider this a fringe offer.

PS.
Thanks to thestixter, I now have a lentil on the way :scat:

I've never paid by wire. Hmm. If there is some type of confirmation you can send them, shoot them an email showing the funds have been withdrawn from your account. This is another issue for Kimchi. Too many times people have payment issues even though the payments are successful.

Yeah but so far no funds have been taken out. I did receive a confirmation email though...

If you haven't done so, definitely email them. There could be a delay in the withdrawal process, but typically wires are within 24 hours from my understanding.

EVERYONE said it and Kimchi chose not to listen... :(

Actually, before the artwork was shown, there was a pretty good split of collectors who were very excited for the release and collectors who said "no thanks, I already have the UK version." And then once the package shots came out and people began urging Kimchidvd to add an order limit, they did.

So your comment is completely inaccurate.

..most comments I´ve seen on forums asked for a 1 per person limit (at least for initial sales period) and that they most certainly didn´t do..
btw..there´s many auctions on ebay already.. one with 6+ copies available, CLEARLY the re-sellers and scalpers did have a field day with this..

at the very least the should have the 1 per person limit for all exclusives during first sales period... if it doesn´t sell that fast they can always up or remove it the next day and they still would sell all copies very soon..

..and since getting server upgrades doesn´t seem to be happening it would also help if items in cart would already be secured.. I´m not a tech wiz so dunno if that´s at all possible for their site.. but other webshops have it (like Secondspin f.e.)
SOMETHING should be done.. or a new system, or that premium thing.. anything...
I´ve initially told several friends about them and every single one of them was exited but also every single one of them has given up on them by now and told me not to send them any more news about Kimchi releases after having been thru this nightmare a few times already and loosing out every single time.. this is actually costing them some people that would have become faithful customers...
and honestly.. I don´t know how often I am willing to go thru this again..
my order recieved problem email still hasn´t ben answered.. (yes.. they might still be busy after all the mess) but the last time they never bothered to respond AT ALL... so maby it´s understandable I´m not all that exited about them, the shopping experience and their service anymore like I used to be in the beginning... initially I loved every thing about them

okay,Kimchi is doing business. Their servers are a bloody mess, but they sell their stuff in record Time. So,why should they spend a lot of Money updating/upgrading Software and Servers? Just because some People did not have the Chance to Order a Steel?:naughty: If you don`t get it,somone else will and that`s all that counts. And even if they loose some customers, their worldwide popularity is growing with every single Release and new customers are standing in Line.:scat:

btw-i didn`t get the Chance to order,too-just wanted one lenti for my Collection which is now incomplete.

Didnt Choi said thats almost impossible that kimchi will handle 1 steel/package each??

Pretty much, choi ends up working ridiculous hours as it is. If everyone bought 2 copies, it's half the work, 4 would be quarter.

People should try to remember that kimchi are a small independent retailer, they don't have hundreds of staff to pack up and post everything.

Amazon can easily impose order limits as they have the staff.

Let's face it, in life you can't please everyone. Regardless to how much moaning there is, kimchi's current business model is working. They're producing quality products that sell out in minutes, why change it?

Reading through some of the posts, a lot of orders went through for the Lenti out of desperation on missing out on the Full and 1/4 Slips?

Could be cancellations for the Lenti coming back into stock?
