I agree with you @earthscope, but their web design is in an other league- not only aesthetically, but also in practical terms. Even if every other aspect was the same, their interface is more robust- which I believe would allow for an easier check out experience. I kept getting errors when checking out with a credit card, on the Kimchi website- as it would not allow me to input my CCV. They also could have split the stock between the two sites, another option to at least try to circumvent the issue. As I customer, I would have been happy to at least see Kimchi try a different approach as they did with the Frozen GB. Either way, at least I got the Lenticular ;)

I agree the ordering process on Kimchi is a nightmare! So damn many different windows to click through before you get completion. Thats another thing that needs stripping down. I also always pay with PayPal seems to be quicker for me anyway.....;)

Still at least after all the stress we are lucky enough to have 1 copy of this beauty....:D

I said all along this would fly out! And it did....There was a serious underestimation of how popular this title is and the fact that the full slip is indeed very special.

Sorry for those that missed out. :ohno:

But over the moon I managed to get 1 copy of the Full Slip. Which I have been drooling over all along....:scat:

Things need to change though for Drive & IM, as thats going to be 10 times worse I think.....;)

If thor 2 1/4 slip was sold out in 7 minutes and the lenticular in 11 minutes the Drive and the Iron man will be gone in 5-8 minutes :ohno:

I am amazed that 1500 Lenticular's are sold out....WOW!! EEK!

I did not expected the Lenticular to be sold out so fast (1500 copies). The full slip and the 1/4 slip yes but the Lenticular suprise me a lot.

Seriously with the Iron man and Drive, Kimchi needs to upgrade the servers

Just curious should I contact Tony on whether my order got in as well. I did receive an email saying "Your order has been made successfully.( kimchidvd.com" but it's still listed as Receipt of Order?

Thread is calming down now - but still a lot of nervous folk.

Last (last) time.......honest.

For those who think they've paid but may have issues here is what to do. First check your Kimchi account - if your order is there then you are fine. You may not always get an email confirmation.

If your payment went through it will say "Payment Completed" next to your order. If that is the case you are good to go - go about your day.

If it says "Receipt of Order" instead then your payment has probably gone through fine but needs to be tallied with your order. Tony normally does this shortly after the carnage has died down so leave it a couple of hours and check back. If it is still showing that, then check your credit card/paypal account for the payment. If it is showing there then send an email to:

[email protected]

Stating your order number and that you have paid, what method you paid by and that you have confirmation. He will then manually update your order. If your payment DIDN'T go through then he can tell you how to resubmit it - as long as your order is showing in your account you should be fine.

So no need to stress and I hope everyone got what they wanted.

Alex I would email Tony as it should show Payment Completed in your account. ;)

I had the order in for the full slipcover after 4 minutes, I pressed payment and it never went through, a couple of minutes later (after being stock) got a message of "item is sold out" and automatically emptied the cart. I then went to order the lenticular one without issues. What a nightmare!

I knew this was gonna sell out. With Thor 2 and Frozen, kimchi is definitely now on the radar for new collectors (myself included in the overseas market),scalpers, and people who missed out on Zavvi. I love this movie and in my opinion is underrated, I only tried for the lenti and was able to get one.

I wonder if The Wrestler will sell out now.

I agree with you buddy.

With Iron Man and Drive coming soon, Kimchi needs to do these things

1. Upgrade the servers

If kimchi can not upgrade their servers then they can

2. Increase the print run for both of them

or

3. Put 1 copy limit
or

4. Group Buy
or

5. send free copies to those who miss out :hilarious:

I know this is slightly off subject but can someone tell me when you order using paypal, if your paypal delivery address is different from your recipient address then which address do they deliver to?

And maybe HDN should add Beta Blockers, Valium & Benzedrine to their online store. They're becoming essential accessories for a growing club of nervous, edgy, sleep-deprived Kimchi junkies.

The one you specified 'at the checkout' in your KimchiDVD account {certainly NOT PP's one unless you tell them} ;)
