My whole lunch break taken up today for nothing, nil, nadda, nowt.

That's excluding a few more grey hairs, a dent in my desk, and some worried people I work with thinking I was having some kind of breakdown.

I love steel books with a burning passion, but sometimes...just sometimes I do wonder why I put myself through all of this for zero return.

I'm curious as to why NO ONE ELSE suggested doing this. This is why I haven't done it... is this common knowledge? (I've never ordered Kimchi before..).

Maybe no one else has had to do it before, or just haven't posted.

I expected an email from Tony telling me to pay by paypal so that just confirms the procedure... If it's wrong, the payment is protected by paypal and it's not like Tony will rip me off.

Funny that I voted for art but can't buy this. Does anyone here actually work?

Awww don't be bitter, no one likes a sore loser ;)

Yeah, I work 12 hours a day... I just took 5 minutes out to get my order in

I am shocked they are all sold so quickly. I figured that lenticular would last at least a day. I wonder how much of that 1000 left for locals is still in stock.

I would suggest anyone not familiar with Kimchi to always place a small order before your big exclusive comes up for pre-order. That way your familiar with the entire process. The Pianist is still available. Go ahead and order now before its gone!!!

Choi said that any remaining stock locally would end up with Toni :scat:

I have supported and ordered from kimchi from the start and when they began doing their own exclusives it was a huge step in the right direction. They listened to their customers and fans and have delivered some of the most special versions of SteelBooks globally.

They have always worked on a limited run basis and have been supported through this process by many collectors who appreciate this. The reason they sell so fast is as a result of being limited. This in turn has created hype and desire for their products, especially over different versions released by other retailers or territories.

The team there is small and can just about cope with the smaller runs given the incredible level of service, care and attention they put into each release - from the concept, to the finished product, through to the brilliant packaging used to ship the items. No hope if they had to do this for an unlimited run and it would also leave them sat on unnecessary stock that would be very bad for their business. The balance is close to being right, and no doubt Tony and the gang will continue to improve this accordingly as each release comes by.

I'm not happy that other people missed out on this release, far from it. But I am happy that it is a limited and I really hope that this continues. It's a big part of what these releases are all about.

It isn't perfect or 100% fair, but it is the way it is. Very little is 100% fair and once a 100000 print run sold out then the 100001st customer would still be upset that they missed out.

I'm not buying my kimchi exclusives to sell, I'm buying them because I like them too and want them in my collection. I will most likely hang on to them and they will probably be worth nothing by the time I die. I put in some serious hours to get them and I will die happy as a result! Hopefully :p

Anyway, congrats to all those who managed to get a copy and commiserations to those who fell foul of the servers or just turned up too late. Hopefully you can track one down at a decent price from a decent fellow collector ;)

Very simple process. When you've completed your order but didn't finish the process of paying, the first thing you need to do is check your account and make sure that your order has been received. Second, to complete the order, write down your order number and go to PayPal and make a payment to:[email protected] and write down your order no. In the "notes" section and your order will now be finalized after sending Toni an email and noting it as regarding the payment you just sent. If your PayPal is lacking funds, then add the credit card you want to use as a "back up fund"
You do should have a paypal account...

P.S.
Please include your PayPal transaction I.D. when you send Toni an email regarding the payment you just made.

What if my order says cash and In Writing the Order?

The very thing people here shouldn't do is buy these from anyone other than Kimchi, rollocks to saying pick one up from a fellow collector. That is why the situation is exactly like it is; self gain from on-sellers claiming to "help" fellow collectors. Laughable.

13 months longer than you. But that's being petty.

Check the voters on the closed poll for my 'contribution'!!!

As if losing out on picking up something I've 'followed' for the last few months, I'm getting abuse...what for?

Because voting on the artwork in no way entitles you to purchase anything.

Your sense of entitlement is ridiculous. Congratulations, you pressed a button on the picture you liked, here's free steelbooks for life
