Undoubtably the latter. Not many premium editions of Shaving Ryan's errr Saving Private Ryan in the physical media space and who knows when/if we'll get another. The thought put into the art is certainly lackluster but a premium release of a Spielbergian classic should never be taken for granted, caveat being I'm a Spielberg shill so take what I say with a ladle of salt.So it's like no one is buying this? Or is it more a "this is crap but I will buy it" scenario?![]()
Seems to have a lot of fans elsewhere judging by comments here and what I've seen myself. So it's like no one is buying this? Or is it more a "this is crap but I will buy it" scenario?![]()

I'm sure it'll be gone like Interstellar. I'm betting I'll only be able to buy 1 extra slip direct, so I'm joining a GB.Seems to have a lot of fans elsewhere judging by comments here and what I've seen myself.
As always, there's no cure for stupidityImma make a bold prediction all editions gonna sell out within 3 minutes regardless of all the unimpressed comments here.

Best war movie (considered by most, not saying it's true), no premium release for about 10 years, only one basic tired art steel 5 years ago, no other special editions – it'll sell out in 60 seconds.
With a bunch of people missing out on HDZ, new collectors, or not yet having upgraded to 4k, I reckon this will fly off the shelf.
Happy to be proven wrong cos I'll be buying (trying) direct.
this is exactly it, it's gonna sell well regardless as a bunch of people missed out on the hdzeta release back in the day or didnt care for it or werent in the premium game when zeta released theirs or don't want to pay current resale prices. Alot of new collector's now as well, so getting a premium release of SPR at cost price is ideal to them. With a bunch of people missing out on HDZ, new collectors, or not yet having upgraded to 4k, I reckon this will fly off the shelf.

Having still images on every single slip is super underwhelming to me but i'm someone that always leans to wanting original poster art on slips or something more creative.![]()
How is the lenti slip better? Tired old poster.
How is second FS better – also just a 'large photo of a face', as complained here...
How is the third 'special' slip better? Same tired old art as on all DVDs and steelbooks most bought, with a repackaged digibook everyone bought separately.
How is the OC better? Same tired old art repeated!
How is the steelbook better? Same front and worse back!
I decided NOT to buy HDZeta back in the day.
I will buy Manta, all the slips are great, cannot decide which I like better, so getting a OC.

What would the benefit be for Manta Lab to reduce the number of slips? They would make less money and it might not even be financially feasible to release certain titles producing only 1 or even 2 slips. They're a small company with a very niche product and customer base. Plus, we all know that the Saving Private Ryan preorder will sell out, whether it happens in 30 seconds or several hours.or to 1, like their manta lab global line
they should create a new line for movies, where the choice of artworks is very limited.
Despite the complaints I fully expect this to be a bloodbath, it's too great of a movie not to be.So it's like no one is buying this? Or is it more a "this is crap but I will buy it" scenario?![]()
I’d love 60 seconds that would be an eternity. I’d say odds of getting a OC are very small you would have to be perfect with your checkout to even have a chance.I'm sure it'll be gone like Interstellar. I'm betting I'll only be able to buy 1 extra slip direct, so I'm joining a GB.
