Can they fit 8 discs in a standard size steelbook? I though that the max was six.

If they place a disc on top of each hub (like the bonus disc in the 2001:ASO 4K SteelBook) then it should “hold” eight.

Hubs on stacked SteelBooks do interlock when closed so discs popping off and moving around freely is impossible.
